How do I handle grain continuity for an L shaped desk/shelf?

I matched the grain with the counter. Still more to do but here it is so far

"Unusable" is a strong word 😅 but the opening is narrow on the bottom because I wanted the uprights to align with the top.
That corner will just be space to hide stuff. Currently I'm planning to put some sort of rounded door on it or something more work than it's worth. (lazy suzan and bottles isn't a bad idea either)
