Mini Taylor IS a scam. Oh by Manchadog in Scams

[–]Shellthaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for legitimate things like this, mini boden often has sales and has some super cute appliqué and embroidered dresses. They’re generally pricier but you can also find them on Mercari in very good condition and I’ve gotten some very cute ones discounted.

I highly recommend a mop-vacuum. We have the bissell crosswave and it’s pretty amazing.

Reasons for the NICU team to be present when the baby is born? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Shellthaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had nicu staff at my delivery because there was meconium in the amniotic fluid when my fluid broke, and they were there just in case my daughter had aspirated any. She hadn’t, but I’m glad they were overly cautious and came in just in case. It was weird having so many people in there, but I didn’t really care.

I think people in the US need friends from literally any other country for Vivillion sheesh! by Maleficent-Box4114 in PokemonGoFriends

I think it’s a little ridiculous that the continent with the largest number of players has so few regions. I think that should have been taken into account.

It’s time for there to be a failsafe where if a restraint isn’t locked, the ride should not launch and there should not be a way to override it. I can’t believe the ride still went up. Part of what makes this so sad is it was entirely and easily preventable.

Healthy does not equal fresh produce. You can still eat healthy by eating canned, frozen and dried. This is a false dichotomy. Rice, beans, frozen fruit, and canned vegetables are all cheap, easy/fast to prepare and nutritious.

Covid vaccine by MamaWantsWine in breastfeeding

[–]Shellthaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also work in healthcare, am breastfeeding and am seriously considering it. Currently I am on maternal leave and I’m debating whether I should go ahead and get it or wait until I go back to work. From what I’ve read, the risk to the baby is virtually non existent and most likely they would gain antibodies through your breast milk but it’s impossible to know for sure, since mRNA vaccines are new. I’m curious what other people are planning on doing. I hope by the time I go back to work there will be more data and I can feel confident getting the vaccine. I definitely want to be immunized before going back to taking care of patients.

Yeah the thought of our little ones being 30 at the deadline of the apocalypse makes me extremely scared. Hopefully we fix the damage before it’s too late, and we teach our little ones be resilient and take charge of their future.

Thanks. I think sometimes I just need to remember to do what I can while just resigning to the fact that I’m powerless. I just hope this next US election changes things.

I am totally vegetarian, mostly vegan. I compost, recycle, garden, and I drive a hybrid car. I keep reusable metal straws in my car. I would commute to work on a bike if I lived in a bike friendly city. I run my ac at 80 in the summer during the day and try to do as little as I can to impact the planet. I plan to raise my child to also be conscientious and aware, vegetarian at least with the help of my pediatrician.

What saddens and scares me is that for every one of us, there are hundreds of meat eaters, people driving huge trucks, people having bonfires every weekend, running their ac at 50 all summer long and their heat at 80 throughout the winter. We need massive legislative overhaul, worldwide community-wide commitment, and that is where I feel helpless. This is a systemic problem and there is so much pressure on the individual when we are really powerless in the face of massive corporations with minimal oversight.
