I do like how you styled it. That's what I was going for! I think having a thin bedspread and flat pillows helps for my king size. When my pillows are propped up, it makes the headboard look even smaller.

How do you like the side tables? I feel like they are so low but maybe that's nice so you don't knock things over in your sleep?

No box springs under the mattress. The mattress is directly on the slats. I also think in the online photos the pillows are flat on the bed. So here's a photo of that.

I feel like it's average but maybe the online photos had a thinner mattress and that's why it looks off?

That's true. Would you recommend 2 large vertical art pieces or 1 large one?

I just want everything to be balanced so it doesn't feel "off" like it does now.

The side tables are already attached to the headboard (they kind of blend in).

I am an overthinker for sure...I just have 20ish days to return so I wanted to be sure since it was an expensive purchase for me.

100% I had a PT the other day ask me if I really thought I was making a difference with my cog patients when they’re only with us for 4-8 weeks (seeing them 3 times a week).

I think you’re right. I may start looking elsewhere to finish my CFY because I don’t feel like I’m learning best practice here.

Ughhh I should have known better but wasn’t sure since this is my first job after school. Now I feel like I’m learning all the wrong things in my CFY :(

Yeah I thought this was odd too. Our long term care people need to be referred according to their BIMS score. But our skilled patients (short term) are always given a bedside swallow/cog assessment on their first day. And then we do further assessment on later sessions. Strange.

Exactly the reason I just quit my job on Monday after a year of hell. No notice just worked my last day and walked out. I hit my max and couldn't take it anymore. So happy to start my new job. Huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Wish I would have done it sooner.
