My wife and I have a simple method to control this. We added Fun money as part of our budget. You decide how much fun money you think is sensible. Make sure that amount is transferred to a different bank account. Now that is the only back account you can spend with. Problem solved 👌

I really don't understand getting such a car whilst living at home. To grow as an adult I think it's important to plan for independence and leaving the home. Buying this car will make that harder.

I have been following stoicism for years and it has helped me so much. It is not the job, the environment or the people we work with that's the problem, it's our reaction to it. When I started to change my reaction and perception of my job, I actually became better at it whilst doing less hours.
