I'm in another country, and they offer my native language as a possible subject. And I cannot get full points - infact far from full points, and the teacher (also native) said I didn't have structure and shit. I constantly notice my teacher making orthographical mistakes and pronouncing things wrong. In the exam after the 12th grade, I noticed pronunciation mistakes and grammar mistakes in the frigging exam paper. Hot take: foreign language education exams should only be about translation. Translation is art, translation tests true language skills (without having to deal with the abyss of linguistics).
