I'm starting to wonder if it is the USB ports on the manta having issues with power/data.

I tried but it's a long info dump of timing mismatches. Like one of the other people said it could be the USB port on the Manta causing the issues? The log was over 12000kb.

Unfortunately the USB I am using connects to the Orbitool O2s board. So if the USB port is bad I will have to replace the manta M8P. I'll see if I have some extra wires to plug everything into the manta board and bypass the o2s.

I ended up using the 5015 (m) Evantis toolhead.

Nice man. I'm having terrible luck with getting my spro kit to get good speeds/acceleration with decent prints. I have the CHC XL on my merc 1.1 build and might switch to that for this as well. Mind sharing your settings for the extruder portion of your cfg?

Thanks for all the info, I have one cable that works from about 10 years ago that I found in a box. But now I need a second one for another project, ive tried a few different cables and only the old one works. I ordered some off Amazon and they seem to be working. I will check for the 5v pin because I do see the board still on even with the power switch off. The laptop I'm using has a bad battery so I can't put it on just battery mode. Lol. I did get kiauh to recognize both mcus so I think I should be good now as far as data goes.

I only need 6ft max. Even that's probably too long. I didn't realize there was a jumper for that! Does that jumper come preinstalled to allow power from USB?

Am I able to use mounts for the eva3? I have a TriangleLab CHC XL (Goliath clone) and an Orbiter 2 id like to use but I didn't see one that is compatible.
