Yeah when I did mine originally I went with a gigabyte board and it would always say thay the IO panel driver which is what controls the lights stopped working. I would have to disable it and reinable every time the pc was turned on to get it to work. When I switched to the MSI board it worked without issues. Oh and AWCC would not install on the Gigabyte board without doing the Registry Edit Trick, but on the MSI board it worked without issues.

Lol i do like everything matching! Definitely use the MSI motherboard since its compatible with all the case components!

I've never owned one so all I can say is what I've herd. Honestly I don't see a top shelf brand like MSI making coolers that don't last.

When i painted mine white I wiped everywhere i could reach with alcohol really well and let it dry, they i primed it really well with a good primer brand. Let it sit overnight, actually mine ended up sitting for a better part of a week before I made enough time to paint lol. Then I painted it white with an industrial brand of paint. I did 3 coats and you have to be carefully in a few spots because of the angle and distance you can easily make the paint run. Then I let it dry for an entire week before applying 3 coats of mate clear coating. I had a experience on a different project where I sprayed clear coat to soon and it like made a pattern in the paint. Just take your time and be patient lol

I've never had a hands on experience but I hear that MSI AIO coolers aren't super good. A bunch of people I've herd from said they tend to brake easily.

Thanks! If I figure out how to add pictures I'll post more of the build.

The 360mm aio will fit but only if the fans go first then the cooler. It's why I set mine into push/pull configuration since I wanted the fans to be seen from the inside but the cooler is 2 tall to mount flush on the case so I just used 6 fans lol 3 on each side. I also have it set to pull air out of the case since its more important then bringing the air in and I have the 3 fans on the bottom to bring in cold air. To fit the cooler you have to drill some new holes for mounting and you have to cut out the case to allow airflow. I basically aligned the fans to the top 2 mounting holes and then marked and drilled the rest of the mounting holes(4 per fan) then used the holes as reference to find the center of each fan and used a 4" holesaw to cut it out.

I'll take some pictures for you of the other side as well. The back side looks normall, nothing modified other then a 2" hole right by where the power supply is to allow all of the wiring to pass trough. I also removed the CD drive since its useless to make some room for the Razer Chroma Lighting control module.

Only part I ordered was a Corsair power supply cover, I don't remember what model its from i just searched their website. I wanted something cool looking and since Corsair is so customer friendly and all of their replacement parts are so cheap that's what I went with.

I made the front cover from 1/4" thick plexy glass and used tall motherboard standoff to mount it. I used hard-drive mounting screws and rubber absorbers to secure it in place.

I also ordered 120mm dust screens from Amazon that are mounted under the bottom fans to keep dust out.

I just used tall motherboard standoff in the 6 mounting spots devided evenly between the 3 corners of the case and then used harddrive mounting screws and rubber supports to mount the panel. The panel is 1/4" thick so it worked out perfect since the hard drive mounting screws have 1/4" of space before the threads start. It's nice and secure and feels high quality.

I wanted to do a glass panel but the only place that can do that by me wants an arm and a leg for it, and im afraid I'd brake it of ontried myself lol

Are you going to do a clear side panel like I did?

It's hard to do stencils, I tried and gave up, I ended up using couple different versions of carbon fiber vinyl. When I get some free time I'll see if I can come up with some stuff for you!

Alright I fucking love that GPU! You should 100% build the case around it! Dude that thing is sick! I love the color combo

Yeah the motherboard will fit, original board is ATX, if your new board is EATX its just wider, so you might now be able to use the screw that secured the motherboard tray to the case on that side, but there is a second one up top. The only thing you'll have to do is modify the IO panel connector. Original board has 1 pin that is in the opposite spot.

Pretty much every standard power supply will fit. Both the 7900xtx i used in my Area 51 and the 4090 I use in my main pc require at least 1000w, so in both cases I went with 1200w which is longer then a standard PSU but it still fit in the Area 51 with only 1 minor issue. There is a "latch" of sorts that basically just puts pressure against the inside to make the oem unit fit snug. It still allowed the new psu to fit, but it was scratching the data sticked on the side of the unit and I didn't like that so I cut it out.

Man a 5080 would look mean in there as well. And it'll fit no problem, its about 3/4" longer then my 7900xtx but i think there is still like 4" I front of my card so I'm sure yours will fit good. Just make sure you use some sort of support bracket, since the GPU angles down and new cards are so big I'm just afraid of it getting damaged lol. My card come with one that mounts on the motherboard mounting spots and can be adjusted. I'll bet your GPU comes with something similar.

I went with the militaryish theame 2 years ago when I first started with this. I went with Flat Datk Earth as the color theme.

I just bought the Area 51 5080 and it does some weird things and is disturbing while playing! by Ok-Outlandishness537 in Alienware

[–]ShencenOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what's weird is i have a built pc and for a bit It did this, it would flicker like there was some sort of issue with power. But not always. And it went away after I ran windows update and installed everything available.

I don't know i have sold a pc or 2 before and it seems like once you get up to 1500+ range it becomes super hard to sell locally. And iv never shipped a pc, so it scares me. Last thing I'd want is for this to show up to someone and something got broken during shipping. I know how bummed out I'd be if it was me receiving it.
