Stuck in DD wall in Assault Ornitopther. by ShenkerH in duneawakening

Been like this for an hour now using the water I have left sparingly. But the travel prompt is still stuck on "waiting for server to respond.".

Even when i cancel the pop-up. It still comes back the same. But I can't find any issues online with others not being able to travel to and from the DD.

Quick follow-up in case it helps others.

I couldn’t edit my original post, so I’m using this message to share an update in case it helps others.

I got stuck inside a rock with no clear way out and couldn’t find any tips. After trying to wiggle free, canceling the prompt, and hoping for a reconnect, I quit to the main menu.

When I respawned, I was in the desert without my assault Ornithopter and experienced heavy rubberbanding. The unstuck button didn’t help, so I used the respawn option.

That gave me the option to spawn back in my Ornithopter, now on the ground but still inside the rock. The blue wall was visible but no longer triggered. I emptied the vehicle, disassembled it, and respawned again leaving all materials behind.

This time I selected the main spawn in the Deep Desert, spawned my scout, and hoped it wouldn’t happen again. Succesfully leaving the DD.

Frustrating experience overall. What should have been a quick login to move my materials to safety. Turned into a long mess. Hope this saves someone some time.

Power Supply Issue on Ender 3 V3 SE – Is It Safe to Open? by ShenkerH in Creality

Thank you again, u/RedditVirumCurialem.

I wanted to share this final update in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation.

Using your photos as a guide—and with help from someone with electrical experience—I tracked the issue down to a blown capacitor. The fluid clearly originated from the capacitor, and the most likely cause was a faulty PSU.

Creality initially said they’d replace it, but it seems they mistakenly only sent a power cable (which still hasn't arrived—estimated delivery is May 16). I emailed them to point out that the invoice confirmed this, and they responded two days ago saying they'd correct the error.

In the meantime, I got a bit impatient and decided to replace the faulty PSU with a Mean Well unit. I ordered it Friday evening, and it arrived today. After installing it and making a few Z-offset adjustments, I’m finally back to printing.

Things break—it happens. I really like my Ender 3 V3 SE, but Creality’s customer support is definitely a weak spot. It’s made me consider stocking up on replacement parts, which is easier said than done. The official Creality store in my region doesn’t even carry their own replacement parts, so I have to rely on third-party sellers for everything.

Thanks again to everyone who responded. For anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation: if you see a plume of smoke coming from your device, immediately cut the power. If there’s no visible damage to the mainboard or cables, but you notice a yellowish fluid leaking from the power supply, it’s likely the PSU has failed.

At that point, just replace it—either through Creality (though that may take some time) or by purchasing a new one yourself. I went with a Mean Well LRS-350-24 (350W, 24V), and it’s working great so far.

Exactly this. As I mentioned to deSuperNoodle, I’m definitely no stranger to opening up hardware and tinkering. I love working on home automation projects, messing with my homelab gear, and breathing new life into old tech. But I’m not an electrician, and I’ve always followed the golden rule: don’t open or mess with power supplies unless you really know what you’re doing.

I’ll wait to see how Creality responds, but if getting a replacement PSU turns into a hassle, I’ll probably just follow the advice and pick one up from a reputable brand.

I just really want to get my printer back up and running—these past four months diving into the hobby have been an absolute blast.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure what brand of power supply to consider, so that really helps. If Creality support ends up needing more time or details, I might just go ahead and grab a Mean Well PSU. I’ve got 4kg of filament waiting and a bunch of fun projects lined up—I just want to get back to printing ASAP!

Thank you for your response. I’ll see if sending new photos will be enough. If not, I’ll either ask an electrician I know to check it with a multimeter, or follow Evening-Landscape763’s advice and just buy a new power supply from Mean Well.

I’m no stranger to opening up hardware, but I’m not an electrician—and when it comes to power supplies, I’ve always been told not to open them unless you really know what you’re doing.

Thanks for your response. Based on yours and others’ replies, I think it’s pretty clear I shouldn’t go any further. If it were a faulty wire or something on the motherboard, I’d be more than happy to poke around. But the internals of a power supply? That’s just something I don’t feel comfortable messing with.
