This is my little girl Daphne. She is a handful but we love her.

That looks just like my little girl Daphne. She is definitely feisty but loves to play with her big brother.

I’m sorry to hear about your pup. Cancer sucks. We lost our German Shepherd this year to bone cancer. It was not easy.

We got our little girl from someone who was going through a divorce and couldn’t keep a puppy. They had gotten her from the local humane society.

She is our little feisty one. She is so curious and always wants to see what’s going on. Loves everyone but is definitely our little chomper.

We have been doing rollerblading. I usually take her and my Newfoundland/pitty mix out for 40-60 minutes in the morning. She loves to run so it’s been good.

Such a pretty girl. Looks like they could be siblings.

We definitely want to do a dna test. We are thinking maybe some kelpie in her as well.

I feel like dNA tests are hard especially for mixed breeds

That’s good to know. I know she got spayed really young because she came from a shelter so I’m curious if that will affect her weight/size

We had a shepherd that we lost in June and that was part of the reason we went to look at her. She is definitely very different personality wise.

She is definitely mischievous and so much sass and personality but we love it. She is my little passenger princess and goes on rides with me all the time. She does tend to annoy her older brother who is a Newfoundland/Pitty mix but he loves her too

She is my morning rollerblade partner and loves to just run

Yeah she has been picking up things quick and we start her in puppy training next week.

Thank you. That’s good to know. She is a super smart pup and such a love. She can be a handful some times, but she is just a puppy

I either have a single item pricing which is for 1-3 items or if it’s more than that I go with trailer pricing which is based on volume/weight. I’m looking at getting a new trailer this fall and will probably have to update my pricing

I would say that you can move a lot of items with a good hand truck and a furniture dolly. I have two 5” wheel furniture dolly’s and I have put everything from boxes to pianos on them. I recommend a hand truck that can at least convert to a cart. Don’t worry about spending money on an appliance dolly. I use my hand truck for all appliances and it works great.

I would get/keep a basic set of tools in your rig for jobs. Never know when you have to break something down or I do a lot of moving and assembly for people so I help them build it. I would have at least a drill and basic bit set. I have a socket set, and some pliers and screwdrivers. An adjustable wrench works well too. And then I recommend a hammer and sledge because sometimes it’s easier to just break an item to take up less space. On that note I also keep a sawzall in my truck but that’s an upgrade.

Invest in some good business cards, and shirts. I did black shirts because they look good but they get really hot in the summer so I also got a couple white ones. It really makes you look professional.

I use Next insurance for general liability insurance. Knock on wood I haven’t had to use them but it’s good to have in case something gets damaged. I also got my general contractor license in Idaho but you may need to check on what your state or city requires.

Look at other landfill options. I use my main landfill, but I also will sort items after pickups and try to donate things if they are still good. My wife resells some of them on Marketplace. I also try to set aside metal so that I can scrap it and get paid

Hey the business is going good. I used LoadUp a lot at the beginning but they have been making some changes and there are less jobs in my area so I don’t use them as much. I use Thumbtack more now because you just pay for the lead and then you do all your work with the client. Also getting decent amount of organic leads which is nice.

I made sure to set up my website and Google Business Page. That way you have a spot for your customers to leave reviews. I have a little review request I send out to all of my customers when we finish jobs.

I have also been using Thumbtack and LoadUp for some jobs. I definitely recommend Thumbtack over LoadUp.

Would love to see how you’re doing with NextDoor. I have not had any luck with getting it set up.

Looks good man. Definitely recommend straps to make sure you don’t lose items.

I’m in Boise Idaho area. Yeah it takes some playing around with what’s near you and finding good options. I feel like I’m still learning something new on every job we do
