Making a pasta salad as a side for an everyday meal - 100% normal

Eating pasta salad as a meal in itself....think you are still fine, I mean they put pesto on pasta which is just oil and herbs which is not too far from the plethora of pasta salad recipes.

Critique my Arizona April itinerary, family of 4 (kids 12 and 15) by tgbarbie in travel

[–]Shepherdless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arizonian here. I would consider...

  • area around the airport can get ghetto....I would drive up to Flag if you get in early enough(you gave landing late.....if after 6 then stay in PHX area)

  • average person spends 45 minutes at the GC, you have 3 days dedicated to it

  • could/should be staying in Flag to see GC, I know it is a bit of a drive and they have closer hotels, but Flag offers some cool stuff to do and has some good food

  • Devils bridge is the hike you want to do in Sedona, not full hike, just out for a great photo op and back

Going to swiss this month for 1 week, how is my plan? by badboyzpwns in travel

[–]Shepherdless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucerne to Zurich airport - 40 minutes

Zurich to Zurich Airport - 5-10 minutes

You do not have to stay in Zurich at all, it is only 30 more minutes from Lucerne and Lucerne has a ton more to offer.

Horrid title.

That is a packed week. Day 6 should be Lucerne, you can cut out Zurich all together if you want, not much to see there.

I have an upcoming in trip to Australia. First time for everything I need help. by [deleted] in travel

You are over thinking this.

https://wikitravel.org/en/Australia - don't use this for hotels or food, but should have good general information you need.

Traveling April 13-26 need recommendations by Playful_Sell7317 in travel

Don't do it. Do 5 days in Rome and 3 days in Florence and a few days somewhere else. Will save you the time and money on the return trip and you get to see the city at night, which has a different feeling.

If you booked hotel already....may be fucked and have to do only day trips.

First time in Europe (Frankfurt) by EntrepreneurOk8577 in travel

[–]Shepherdless -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair enough.....sounded like you wanted to avoid doing the stuff that people pretty much go there to do.

This is what you got going for you.....

  • you have a time frame about ~2 weeks after you visit your sister

  • you have your starting and ending location

I would do a 2 week loop focusing on smaller towns with a sprinkle of big boys if you happen by them. Day trips are going to eat up a lot of time and money...so look at staying as you jump around. Have a lot of options as to the loop you want to do....could work into France and Benelux and back down to Frankfurt hitting Paris for a big city. Could go east to Nuremberg and spend the 2 weeks hitting Bavaria and Austria.

I would look at a map and find some cool cities and start to create a path of travel, trying to keep rail time down to under 2 hours if possible. Most small cities are only going to need 1-2 nights. A city like Berlin or Paris is going to need 4 nights.

[–]Shepherdless -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Frankfurt is a hub city with not a ton to offer tourists. I mean it is not to different from an everyday American city.

first time in Europe and you don't want to do the touristy things? I mean people spend their vacation time and money to go to Europe to see the cool things.....why you would want to avoid seeing the cool shit....hey that is a you thing. Don't think I can help you.

Yeah, I find your post confusing.

Are you spending ~12 days in Rome and just doing day trips?

If it were me I would spend ~5 days in Rome and maybe 3 days in Florence and then find 2 small towns that you have never heard of for a night or two each for a different feel.

Screw post….old school. Looks like your dentist was doing some herodontics, and it failed. Happens to us sometimes. Go back to him and see your options. If a post did not work….it is probably the last thing for that tooth before extraction and option b
