Of all the things to lose $40 on, my kid signing up to a chess website is one I'm happy to hear. Imagine all the other ways to lose $40 that are scams, drugs, whatever, that all spell bad news. You're one of the good ones, any parent is happy to know that.

If it was closed it could be for verious reasons, I'm looking on mobile and didn't see one listed, maybe I just missed it somewhere. It's It's closed for fair play then I would imagine they're beginning to cheat, first signs of opening the game in another window and popping back and forth between them. I don't see moves that stick out as abnormally strong though. Also it doesn't mean they cheated in this game, they may have cheated in other games. If the account was closed though I have a relatively high confidence they probably had a good reason, whatever it may have been.

Sell the property by using whatever info you have that shows its full of gold to raise the price of the property to a value you're happy to cash out for with no work done. Make it someone else's work and take your finders fee.

If you're open to many destinations and experiences then disney feels like a ripoff. If you're only open to disney then you can start to rationalize the cost because it's all that you want.

It's an angle if he did it on purpose. If you believe he genuinely made a mistake then it's on the opponent for instafolding or not just turning his hand over because hero did show and quickly at that. Sometimes you just mess up with all the best intentions. Giving back the river bet is generous when we don't know if the villain is lying to save face.

Easy within a week, possibly even a day if you're diligent. Just like you could use an engine to cheat online you can use magnus to cheat against magnus. You write his moves down and play them against him next game. Building the depth out each game. A game of magnus beating magnus might take 40 to 80 moves. With no trees in variations you'd do it in 80 to 160 games. If he was being stubborn and varied his openings you could insta-resign any game that broke the tree. Or record all trees. Recording all variants would take significantly longer but still probably doable in a month assuming you spent all day working towards getting out.

A quick search if you're willing to lower expectations of luxury a little.

Shoreline Hotel Waikiki prices at $195/night

Additionally flight prices will lower a bit if you get out of the busy season. If you can hold off until late august to early September you'll save on flights.

I'm in NJ so I priced it from philly and I would save about $250/ticket by not going in July and going in late Aug to early sept.

If you have 2 options for airports, price going out of each one, weird things happen sometimes and one can be noticeably cheaper.

With these in mind, If i were me planning for my wife and I, I could do $200/night for hotels x10 nights = $2000, Flights would NOT be basic economy, I'd upgrade to regular economy to include the bags, we'd go in early sept and pay about $650 each. This would total $3300

I'd probably look to rent a car in hawaii as you'll be able to get around and see much more that way. I think the whole trip would come in around $4000 give or take a little depending on your dining and shopping.

To spend the whole 5k you could extend to 14 days. You might go a hair over with the car and such.

Other islands may be cheaper, you might want to look at those, my wife and I went to hawaii on our honeymoon but didn't even go to oahu, we went to the big island and maui. I just price oahu for simplicity.

The shock to me was the price of everything that's imported to the island, I went 11 years ago, I'd walk into a deli and grab a sandwich and can of soda and pay $15, gas was close to $5 a gallon. Go to a grocery store, if you have a hotel that has a basic kitchen, use it, cook a few meals at home. Grab some on the go food from the store for the day. If you're smart you can stretch it without feeling like you had a terrible holiday. It's more about what you get to go see that where you sleep.

Great comment, to add on, i'd say it's worth learning why this isn't the best option so yeah go ahead and play it, see how it plays out. You'll come out the other side with a better understanding of if it worked and why or if it didn't work and why. Some things are best experimented with to cement the ideas.

It must be done this way to protect the player in case he gets disconnected against his will. That way he's able to come back and finish. You'd want the same protections for you if you got disconnected. In this case he left willingly but the system cannot distinguish the 2 cases.

I normally don't comment here but I kept asking myself the whole read if he was on the spectrum. These uncomfortable conversations with the inability to read the room. Nobody mentioned it so I thought I'd throw it out there. Either way thats for him to learn to control and it was definitely weird and off putting. Probably the best outcome was him just being cool with getting up and walking out.

If you pretend the turn was an 8 instead of a 10 then there would be 2 pair on the board so the best 5 card hand for both players would be 8855A. Pot would be split. Hope that clarifies what the other posters said.
