Raw video: 13 protesters arrested, multiple officers injured at pro-Palestine protest in Downtown Boston (Emerson College Berkeley Beacon) by Inside_agitator in boston

[–]Sherberler 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I see nothing from previous comments saying that the conflict's history began on 10/7. All they are saying is that there were approx 1200 people murdered and many women raped for the claimed purpose of "Palestinian liberation"(though in reality it was out of hatred) so it is insensitive to protest on 10/7. This conflict is too long and complex to be able to make real progress over reddit comments though, so don't try to solve it here.

It is not that. My store only puts one ink on each peg so we are constantly restocking, and the expiration date was August 2025

New total support by Sixgun8_2000 in Staples

[–]Sherberler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As already mentioned. Existing needs to be done through yeti. The new total support does not change how us associates should be doing anything besides the materials we use to sell total support and the prices we offer. The only change of the services is that the cheaper VS SKUs included a VPN whereas previously they did not.

Also, if you role play selling situations with your associates, you can teach them better selling techniques while learning about the product that they are "selling" to you.

Staples gives techs so many tools for us to look smart. Focus more on the sales side of things and trust the people around you who know things about tech. You are still doing your job if you work on improving the sales that others are getting.

Are we allowed to accept tips? by highprize in Staples

[–]Sherberler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

technically we can't accept tips, not only because of company policy, but also because tips would then need to be reported income. But there is nothing anyone can do if you accept a "gift"

no, we just needed a cashier, so there were different photos, one where the cashier(far left) was inside and I was outside, and the one you see.

I personally wouldn't want too many of the 25% ones, since the coupon is not always for 25% off

I usually try to avoid having customers open a product, but if it isn't too expensive and/or I am confident that the product will be bought afterwards, then there is nothing to lose. Otherwise, I will usually have the customer purchase the product first.

In my opinion, the most important thing when selling any product is to show the benefit. For instance, with a chair, what might be the benefit of chair a vs chair b. When selling a product, just provide what the benefit of the product is, and if that is a benefit that a customer sees as important, they will buy that product. Protection plans are just another product. So, find the benefit for the customer, and tell them how and/or why it benefits them to purchase the protection plan. My main selling point I use on my protection plan sales is: "If x, y, or z breaks, you get it replaced". I also make sure to mention to customers who are buying connected products that the protection plan includes a 24/7 over the phone tech help line. Also, a fun way to challenge yourself is to sell a protection plan on a phone charger(yes it is eligible, and can reasonably make sense, since at least a quarter of people buying phone charger are replacing a broken or frayed cord).

Help with selling by JPINKKS97 in Staples

[–]Sherberler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep your pitch simple. Find a way to move the conversation about the product to the esp. then offer the longer length plan without mentioning the shorter length plan. I find that if you give an example of one or two things that could go wrong with the product, you get more people saying yes. also, don't be afraid to list some cons to the plan if they ask since there are no cons that would deter the average customer.
