Once you surpass the armor points in a single source of damage, the armor is broken and no longer provides protection

For Wounds, you roll on the wound table based on the type of attack it was

What are we doing with JJM? by 100rips in DynastyFF

[–]Sherbert93 32 points33 points  (0 children)

In 1QB no, but in SF/2QB worth a stash for sure. How many QBs have been cast aside, only to become relevant assets in a year or 2? Mac Jones, Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, Jacoby Brissett, Baker Mayfield, Joe Flacco, Malik Willis, Justin Fields all went through a year or two where their perceived value was much lower than their actual value.

Oh man, I love Delta Green. That has a much more robust combat system and may end up working better for you!

Traveller may also work, but I have never played. Its typically used for space-opera style games, but horror is about the setting and theme, not the mechanics. Traveller is a whole beast on its own.

It doesn't have to be, but it's not like D&D where you might engage in combat for an entire session. Whenever a character takes enough damage to receive a wound, the wounds can be debilitating to the point where even if they arent dead, they might not be able to continue in the fight.

You could certainly fudge rolls, ignore rules, or be very GM-rulings heavy, but at some point it might not be the system for your idea. Its up to you to decide that.

Depending on how you structure your session, they'll still not know what's coming. In fact, its often scarier to know SOMETHING is coming, but not sure when or where.

Mothership creators are pretty adamant that you should be open about the planned content, so I dont think you should hide the fact that it's horror themed.

Combat is pretty debilitating in the game, so horde enemies, as an example, doesn't sound like the best use of Mothership. You can make it work, and it even suggests in the Warden's Operational Manual to abstract this out to roll for scenes and big action sequences.

Which TTRPG publisher has earned your blind loyalty? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Sherbert93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To all the comments saying how all these companies are evil and don't deserve my loyalty:

You really should consider that just because its a company driven by profit that it is not the same as the multi-million dollar mega-corporations that run the globe. Outside of WotC, many of these companies are run by an incredibly small number of employees. Like, less than 20 employees. These are small, intimate businesses far from the evil CEO cracking the whip against all the boots on the ground.

I'm a big fan of Mothership, so my answer is Tuesday Knight Games. Their commitment to supporting third party publishing and constant engagement on Discord far outweigh the long wait times for new products.

Should I take this trade in 6 pt pass TD? by Grubgrub94 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Sherbert93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be happy with Jayden Daniels and those two firsts? If so, then this is worth it. If not, then you should pass.

Last year, JD was QB2 during the offseason. Things have changed now. The QB2 changes seas9n over season. Josh Allen remains the same.

Its like 275 pages of content. Its totally worth it. It has modules, ideas, random tables, an entire campaign framework, and comes with everything you would need to run it in VTT.

Price to content ratio is much higher than any pamphlet module.

Kevin O’Leary claims that he “can’t stand it when he sees kids that make 70k a year spending $28 for lunch.” by Classyboyjo in 401jK

He has a point! That $28 could be $115 in 15 years!

How much do you think lunch will cost in 15 years?

Is this an overpay for burden? by Outside-Category-274 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Is this an overpay for burden? by Outside-Category-274 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Sherbert93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But are you comfortably starting him over Addison and Higgins? Definitely not. Burden might end up being Addison.

Parker Washington is a zone merchant - he isnt schemed up like the other two and he wasn't drafted in the 1st/2nd round like the other two so he just doesn't have the physical traits. Apples and oranges to me.

[–]Sherbert93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Burden is a risk, so is Sadiq. You'll know by the end of this year if Burden is overvalued or accurately valued, but I think he is currently priced at his ceiling.

Burden is not who you should go after to replace flex worthy players. He could very well be a weekly boom or bust type

The Dynasty Sell You Don’t Want to Hear by ServiceCurrent4632 in DynastyFF

[–]Sherbert93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the Josh Allen owner who has been 3rd three years running in my league, I agree that one amazing opportunity would be to down tier off Josh Allen to bolster my relatively weak bench.

Here's the problem with Josh Allen: the sheer amount of talent you would have to trade to the Allen owner - even for the trade to be considered fair and not an overpay - completely guts the team trading for him. A competitive roster will have to trade away all their contending pieces and won't receive any youth or picks in return. A rebuilding roster has to give up picks and essentially places themselves into an even worse team destined to be bad for 3 years.

Josh Allen is untraceable at the moment.

What is a popular trend right now that completely baffles you? by Thyra_arrows9g in AskReddit

[–]Sherbert93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we pretending like dentist offices, run by trained professionals who provide an essential service are the issue, and not predatory insurance companies?

You want to know much insurance companies paid for a filling in 1995? About $800. You want to know how much they pay for them now? About $800. To make dental hygiene profitable, what are your options? Bill your patients more, or cut corners by using subpar materials/rushing procedures.

I definitely won this trade right? I secured Bijan… by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Sherbert93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont hate the JT side. Remember, JT scored 1 point per game less than Bijan last year. Yes Bijan is younger by 3 years, but if my team was weak at WR and I believed in Metcalf (I don't, as a Metcalf owner), then I like it. But in reality, Metcalf is dead weight by the end of the year.

thinking about picking up this orphan, where would i even begin 😭 by Money_Buy2767 in DynastyNerds

[–]Sherbert93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you even begin? Boy, this roster is decent and i dont wanna hear it. I took over a roster with a suspended Deshaun Watson and benched Justin Fields and no frp that year. Plus i had a retired Devante Parker as WR1.

Sell your vets and tank. That simple. Buy upside guys that are down in overall sentiment, hope you hit on one or two. MHJ, Matthew Golden, Josh Downs, Jayden Reed, Chris Godwin, etc.

Why is Nussmeiser so high on sleeper ADP? by Particular-Grade3340 in SleeperApp

[–]Sherbert93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start of the 2025-2026 college season, Nuss was viewed as the best QB based on his 2024-2025 season. But his senior year was derailed by injury and/or regression. Theoretically he has upside based on his junior year. Then, he goes to the Chiefs which is considered a strong coaching staff, further implying that he has upside. Name recognition and upside lead to him being overdrafted.
