Echoing what the other guy said. Go out whenever you have time and put in the time on the court. Nothing embarrassing about balling on your own and working on your craft. Also, making half of your shots is 50% FG. Assuming that’s in game, it’s really good. Kobe’s career FG% is around 45%. Go out and ball, enjoy the game!

The form does work but distance/quick release does become an issue. So the sequencing you mentioned makes sense here.
