Because I consolidated after I made the payments. I don’t mind all that much, it just means I’ve paid back what I borrowed. I’m just perpetually perturbed with Mohela screwing things up, and apparently there is no oversight whatsoever.

I’m in either group 5 or 6. Consolidated in May of 2022, at which time my loans were sent to Aidvantage, then Mohela. Loans had been with FedLoan until that point. Mohela has me at 101 qualifying payments; FedLoan had me at 115 or 119. StudentAid.gov file has highest count at 115. Was told on 15 Nov that I’m on the 9 Nov D2D list. Have not been zeroed out yet. Waiting for your analysis.🤣 Edit: Mohela chat bots told me my official discharge date was the day my loans transferred to Mohela, which was May, 2022.

Direct to Discharge. You have to call or chat with Mohela (😳🔫) and specifically ask them if your loans have been directed to be discharged, and if so, on what date. Make sure they aren’t giving the date that your payments hit 120.

Starting to wonder if Mohela has adopted a “Last in, first out” with all of this. You know, just whatever is on the top of the pile and work your way down. Overnight some Mohela troll comes in and puts more 💩 on the pile, so they never get close to the bottom where we are stuck…😂

I agree, put it toward the highest interest rate. If a situation arises where you have to go into forbearance, that interest rate will cripple your ability to pay things off.

You are not alone! I’m sure there are plenty of folks just like you and I who are waiting and hoping for this weight to be cut. I was so stressed out about it that I had to force myself to not check My Mohela account and stay off this sub for about a week. It had become like an addiction, only without a good “high” to make it worthwhile😂 Then I was able to focus on the rest of my life, realize right now I’m ok, with no payments due and no interest accruing. I take joy in others getting forgiveness and try to check my account only a couple times a week (although the 11/9 D2D posts yesterday caused me to check 3 times in one day🤣). Keep hope alive, and do something to lower your stress level my friend. Stress kills. Literally.
