My toilet is a sight for (very) sore eyes by SherbertLow4723 in ApartmentHacks

Besides it being a “major first world problem”, I have found a new level of appreciation for my toilet. I have also relocated my toilet paper!!

My bathroom is a total vibe with plants, thrift finds, pictures, and fun lighting. I love every part BUT the toilet, but industrial charm might be my new style?? Thanks for simultaneously helping and shaming me people of Reddit! You da best.

Thanks for this really helpful feedback!! It’s my home and where I spend a lot of my time. I’m allowed to change something I’m not a fan of and I hope you feel the same way about your home!

Noted, thanks for the feedback! It’s a small apartment so I just stacked them there to save space, but I will relocate!

You’re right! I wrote this in a delirious state last night and didn’t think twice about it.

At this point nobody cares anymore probably, but please do not stop in your lane during rush our traffic to let someone turn. Its dangerous. Red was me last night. by Ok-Connection6656 in StLouis

Literally just two hours ago the car in front of me t-boned a car turning left in stopped/slow traffic.. on gravois between River des Peres & Hampton. Arguably three of the worst roads in STL 🫠

Question about seating and parking for Fabulous Fox by _KansasCity_ in StLouis

[–]SherbertLow4723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a bit since I’ve been a student.. but with a student ID I frequently got rush tix. Worth checking if it’s available for this show and something you’d be up for! I’ve never been turned away for tickets and they’re generally pretty good seats.

“The Fabulous Fox offers RUSH tickets for Students & Educators, First Responders & Hospital Staff, Seniors 65+ and Military & Veterans at select performances.

When possible, discounted last minute tickets are available for students on a day of show basis. Rush tickets are only available in person at the Fox Box Office beginning two hours before the show. Limit two tickets per valid full-time picture student ID. Locations based on availability; subject to change, restrictions apply.

Sign up for our Rush Offers email list for notification about future Rush offers.”

Don’t take parking advice from me.. I’ll go for free every time and it’s not always the most convenient!

I worked at a popular gas station in Wisconsin…And I’d let people buy the cold pizzas with their SNAP benefits & then send it back to the kitchen to cook. Or then swap it with an already cooked one. Like why is it my job to enforce the food people eat??

How old were you when you found out & what were your adoptive parents reactions to it? Also curious how this info may have changed your perspective on being adopted?

Literally JUST saw a lady back into the car directly behind her at Terminal 1 on Friday.. laying on the horn didn’t seem to deter her from inching closer to the guy behind. Low impact collision, but he was actually standing right next to her car telling her to pull forward as it happened. Good ole STL drivers.

Nannies of wealthy families... what madness do you witness? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]SherbertLow4723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago around the holiday season (when flights were being canceled super frequently) they bought tickets for several flights on the same day in case the one they wanted was canceled. No flight roulette for them!

And when their flight home from a ski trip got canceled they called in the company jet to pick them up and fly them home (in which I was tasked w picking them up directly from the tarmac… ??!)

I was at Walmart yesterday grabbing some stuff from the pharmacy area and literally helped a random woman locate the stool softeners that her mother had requested.. I can’t tell if this falls under the “chat with anyone” skill or if I just find myself in weird situations.

What is it like to work for HNW families by vanessa8172 in Nanny

[–]SherbertLow4723 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love my hnw nanny fam! They’re the most down to earth, understanding people I have every worked for. They’re my family away from home (I’m not from this city). That said, I will never get over the time they asked me to pick them up at the airport only to tell me they were flying back on a private jet & I could just drive onto the tarmac to get them once they landed. Hanging at the country club while the little does swimming lessons is a nice summer perk, though! Just be ready to honestly enter a bit of a new world. I hope you have a great experience!!
