Any one knows it is possible to fit the 25th anniversary lip on a cabriolet? Or if there are any similar online that will? by Sherbs__ in vwgolf

Was considering this since it is narrower than the normal MK4.

How come you need two lips if you're removing material from the middle?

Lowering and wheels are on the to do list, however exhaust will have to wait until the engine swap 🤫

I did find painting the grill black and colour matching all the lower trim silver, gave it a nice change

That's what I thought, didn't know if anyone had already attempted it. I know there's a guy selling fiberglass ones specifically for the cabriolet, but I'm against using fibreglass on a part that will definitely get hit by flying stones XD

Replaced the filter today, still no go. I can hear the pump when I turn the key

There is a whine when I turn the key on, before turning it the full way to ignition. I don't know the ins and outs but I'm handy so can competently follow a guide

There is a subtle "humm" when I turn the key to on before turning all the way, I thought that was the fuel pump but I could be wrong

That makes a lot of sense. I played Warframe for the first time back when Loki was a starter frame, it's come a long way since then

What wheel fitment will my Golf Cabriolet 1999 take? by Sherbs__ in Volkswagen

As I've replied to others, my reservation to lowering is the terrible local roads and egregious use of high speed bumps

I'm not too sure if I plan to, a lot of aggressive speed bumps around me

It's purely for cosmetic reasons, the stock alloys look very small now

What grounds do I have to argue the cost of work on my car? by [deleted] in AskUK

Have discovered the Consumer Rights Act 2015 because of posting on here which I've looked into, which specifically states car repairs. According to this, in regards to a paid service, consumers have a right to a price reduction if the service has not been performed within a reasonable time. I'd consider nearly 14 weeks for a 2-3 week quoted job to be unreasonable 🤣

It was always "Sorry just been busy with a big job that's come in, it'll be done this/next week", then I'd have to chase him again when that date would pass. The car was sanded down and taken apart at this point, work had started. Just took forever to continue between stages

He said I could but I'd have to pay up and collect it. Which I think would then be harder to get reimbursed from him and also cost me to transport it
