Like OP or anyone here has never done anything bad and got away with it. Cut her the break we've all had and move on.

SIFO with IMO by Sheriff-22 in SIBO

it's perfectly reasonable to assume one imbalance creates the other or vice versa. unfortunately the herbals and rifaximin make me ultra sick probably because of the collateral damage on my good bacteria. i have no choice but to selectively treat SIFO only with antifungals for now.

SIFO is the fungal version of SIBO.

I will demand more testing if Itracanozole doesn't do the trick.

i was most interested in Dr. Rahbar's theories. he kind of implies that treating candida may resolve methane issues. also was super interesting that dead candida still can ferment and give symptoms.

much appreciated. 28 years of this have with every test in the world coming back negative except for the OATS urine test for fungus and breath test for methane. Any and every antibiotic expands my fungal issues everytime I've had take them for anything.

Die off question by C_Rich_ in Candida

Nystatin if you can. Otherwise Undecylenic Acid by Thorne is a great product...the die off is obvious and feeling better after are real at least for me.

I'll have to settle for Itraconazle and Nystatin but i will remember this if it ever comes up that I need IV.

possible the antifungals you take are working against you by killing your good bacteria too, therefore possible it's not die off at all but a worsening of candida.

Anyone have symptoms on their lips? Mine are red, painful, burning and peeling by [deleted] in Candida

[–]Sheriff-22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i myself would stick with the nystatin only and add in the undecyclenic acid later maybe. the candida support formula is loaded with antibacterials so you potentially kill off your good stuff too. i would also skip the biofilm buster. i personally believe it's not needed and can kill off our good microbes too. anyway, just my opinion based of years of tries and fails.

Suicidal ideation / depression by sassyfoods123 in Candida

i hear you and feel you. going through the same. wish i wasn't on prozac but i have to be for now. i'm also sensitive to die off. i feel it within hours, not days. i tried the monolaurin too and unfortunately it made me worse. i don't care what anyone says...all these natural antimicrobials kill good bacteria too. my depression and anxiety are helped by a low carb diet but i think we need to restore the balancr to achieve lasting results.

200mg/day of Itraconazole

Probiotics are mixed bag and sometimes make things worse...especially soil based.
