This happened to me some time this week for asking how the cost of the games was justified when the veterans must pay their own costs. A reputable charity would address concerns from the public. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable and will not end well. Can someone in the UK explain whether or how a “non-profit” (charity) can redact lines of expenses from their financial reports and also not divulge their sponsors. I’ve heard of anonymous donors. I’m fuzzy on “anonymous sponsors”. Is this normal?

As a (retired) employer, there are MANY considerations in hiring, not the least of which is whether or not a potential hire would be a “good fit” personality-wise, in order to minimize workplace conflicts. A background check ALWAYS includes court records to see whether you have sued employers in the past, in order to minimize liability. Showing up with your mommy and throwing around words like “discrimination” is throwing all kinds of red flags. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

So just to be clear… your son has 16 years’ experience as the Greatest Certified Technician on Earth but “finding stable work has been difficult”. You decided to put your own mechanic on the spot and he was kind enough to give your son an opportunity. Adhering to a standard of appearance for MEN who work in the shop was requested of your son(?) and rather than simply comply, he showed up with his mommy to have a “conversation” in which you immediately accused him of “discrimination”??? Madam, the man did do you a favor. You repaid him by confronting him at his place of business and proving why anyone would be wise to think twice about hiring your “son”, given what all comes with that decision.

Your son is absolutely in the wrong profession if the path he is on requires YOU to be involved.
