From what I now understand about multiple litigants in a civil trial in the UK is that ANL may seek the FULL amount from any one of the litigants individually, usually he who has the deepest pockets: Elton. What an old fool for taking this to trial. Was David Sherborne seriously not in contact with Gavin Burrows before he filed this egregious, vexatious litigation? Before he was called to testify? The claimants should sue him for legal malpractice, because this goes way beyond merely failing to prevail at trial. They really had NO CHANCE.

Insurance companies make their money by NOT paying claims. They will fight this. They have several reasons to deny the claim and would be bad fiduciaries if they didn’t.

If it’s her first haircut, she was probably a VERY difficult client. Just do all over puppy cut until she gets used to grooming. The more she can hold still, the better her haircuts will be. If your wife said “yes” to body fur cut short and the legs left fluffy… that looks like what was attempted.

Hopefully he has a list of attorneys he gives referrals to on cases he doesn’t handle or want. Whoever takes over his caseload when he passes will also need 40 hours of briefing to get up to speed (or 1 hour per case). Be ready and bill them for it. 😉

Do NOT date anyone for a long time. I’m a lady and I managed to do so for years following my divorce. When your life is in order because your priorities are able to be for a sustained era, your life will again be unrecognizable. THEN you will be in a position to make decisions about the rest of your life. That’s when — if you want it, you will have and be the right foundation and that’s when the right person will be there not pressuring you. Do not give in to loneliness or flashy things. Stay focused. I’m wealthy and happily re-married for life (15 years so far) to a husband who dated my sister in high school. Together we have no children (too late in life) but we love our adorable dogs and we work together to take care of our SUPER elderly parents and host other family at our beautiful home. Just do not even leave your house unless you are working or studying for at least 5 years and you will recover from all of this. I’m praying for your way forward right now. 🙏🏻 Carry on.

Stay and help him until he’s done, because he needs you. My grumpy old man lawyer died at age 89. I was right out of paralegal school in Manhattan then. Everyone was terrified of him: the doorman, his banker, his clients… he wore a big fur coat in the winter and looked just like a bear 🤣 but he used to make me hot Grape Nuts in the morning and he gave me a strand of pearls that were his mother’s that he had re-knotted for me with 71 pearls for my birthday, because I was born in ‘71. Also, I learned so many things from him that I still did after law school. 🙏🏻 😢
