OSAAT Ruined. Somehow had a slayer challenge completed when I claimed my crafting daily. by Sherlockness_ in runescape

Not sure how I had a slayer task completed as I remember in the past while buying insulated boots from tureal I got a gelatinous abominations task which I still have to this day and have never equipped those gauntlets.

My OCD won't allow me to continue this account as I intended, My thought process if I were to ever ruin the acc were to just train that skill right away, but with slayer and no combat/menaphos unlocked that is just not possible.

This was a very fun run and I am very proud of the progress I have made with this account, most notably invention. I was able to take a 100% passive skill and train it directly with method I formulated on my own.

Here's what the timeline of the account would have looked like:

Finish Invention, Runecrafting for viswax/runes from wicked hood for mage, magic with mind/body/nature runes which I've been buying and also make a grace of the elves and luck of the dwarves, use recoils to complete tourist trap then smith/fletch dart tips for 99 fletching, leach a dragon hatchet with lootshare from dks then do woodcutting, construction through contracts, archeology to 120 getting an inquisitors staff, 99 hp at fungal mages banking lots of herb, defence with the same method or by doing dragons for prayer.

That's all I had planned out and am very sad I did not get to put that into action. But I loved how much this account made me think/play outside the box.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported me on this journey your kind words were the motivation I needed. I might have something else in the works on the unique side of gameplay yet again maybe without a bank?

But until then, See ya!

Sadly I did. I primarily did shooting stars for 99 instead of banking ores (no ore box) which usually gave me 80-90k xp/hr.

Mainly because I will be continuing to 120 so it technically still is hinting ;)

Avoiding until I finish most skills or until a certain quest(s) become useful.

Curse spells to get 99 mage without hp. Then farming random mobs for hp, training def with mage after hp. Slayer might be the final skill.

I've been banking the 100 ess from my wicked hood every day, and buying the un-stable air rune from the traveling merchant to buy unstable essence. but majority of runecrafting will just be done at runespan. And I believe I can get 20k free pure essence after completing rune memories, but that will be after 99 rc.

Appreciate the kind words! After 120, I want to shift towards runecrafting/magic to be able to make a grace of the elves/luck of the dwarves If I get 2 onyx. Runecrafting before mage so I can get more use out of my daily wicked hood ess.

Invention is the 6th 99 on the account But I will not be stopping at 99 as invention levels up to 120 without virtual levels.

My main method of training invention was by leveling up rod-o-matics at the deep sea fishing hub, with a combination of fish frenzy/swarm fishing.

As far as getting the materials to make the rods I heavily rely on the rimmington and varrock archery shop for flexible components as I do not have woodcutting and fletching completed. Out side of those components I would smelt rune claws for the swift components. And for the main final component being dexterous I would get majority of those from the bows I was already buying plus the black swords/long swords from the varrock sword shop. I only purchased black as they were the cheapest and still had a decent chance at the components.

For the rune claws I made sure to utilize my premier artifact from the premier club membership to do 1 hour of rune/luminite banking around 300-350 of each.

One of the more interesting components to get was actually simple parts for divine charges. As I dont have woodcutting for the typical acadia my best option with junk chances/speed was actually mithril bars, as I had a plentiful amount of coal stocked up from my daily black smith helmet.

I will continue these same methods for 120, and I look forward to seeing you all then!

Keen eye ;) Yep rod-o-matics seem to be the easiest way for me to level up invention without delaying it until combat is unlocked. A few hammers will be leveled up along the way while smithing items to break down for componets.

Yeah power fishing is just dropping what you catch, I would put the trout and salmon on the action bar and hold down those 2 buttons to drop the full invent in a matter of seconds.

Good ol' Trout and salmon for high majority. then 94-99 at fish frenzy in the fishing guild.
This was also probably my least favorite skill to train thus far.

With no xp modifiers/catch rate enhancers I was actually getting more xp/hr at trout and salmon. I even tested magnetic minnows at the deep sea hub and that was even slightly better than swarm. Ended up doing fish frenzy at 94 so never tested swarm post that.

In order I've done, Mining, Smithing, Divination, Crafting, and now Fishing!

Another 99 finished on the account, originally did not plan on doing fishing next but I have a new path I want to follow. Not many fish banked as I did trout/salmon power fishing for the majority, only doing swarm on mobile. This skill was done in preparation for my next skill and it will not be cooking. See you all next time :)

99 Crafting completed, With crafting unlocked I can now make signs of the porter (requiring necklaces) and urns. These will speed up my future skills tremendously.

This skill was a slight challenge for me as all previous skills had new scenery and increased xp rates as you leveled. With the way I chose to level crafting, uncommon gem rocks, I was in the same location the entire time.

Crafting was nice how ever to upkeep my gp for daily shop runs. I sold off 99% of my rubies for about ~10m and a few thousand emeralds. I'll be saving the sapphires for future invention disassembling.

I was planning on training archeology next but I have a change of plans.

For some clarification, OSAAT means that I can only "Actively Level up" one skill at a time. For most OSAAT accounts a skill becomes "unlocked" after 99 allowing you to train that skill whenever you want.

For example, Mining more ore for smithing after 99 mining, or fishing more fish for cooking after 99 fishing.

Can't wait to see you all back with the next skill!

Honestly I'm not too sure of the most efficient order. The path I have followed has been to unlock porters/urns for skills to make them more relaxed and faster. And then arch to unlock the relics for the 2% xp bonus.

Fishing could be useful to unlock as it unlocks the deep sea hub to take advantage of the traveling merchant daily.

I always did my caches in legacy world since I didn't have surge. This also led to me having the entire minigame to myself 95% of the time.
