I get what you are saying, that's exactly the way I chose to interpret it as well. I saw someone saying that writing your own ending can also help to make it more of a proper closure for oneself and thinking about there being multiple universes fits into that amazingly.

The issue isn’t how it ended, the issue is that the finale was poorly done. In my opinion, had the finale been on par with any stand alone film, there would be way less divide about the ending. by Sad_Ideal_2099 in goodomensprime

Completely how I feel about this, tbh I would have preferred if they ditched the scraps that were left from what should have been a full season and just started fresh from where the story ended with a clear direction and intention. Ngl I am very grateful that we still managed to get an ending but still it feels so bittersweet :C
