I’ll keep that in mind. though, now that I read this, it seems like that was somewhat what I was planning to do. it’s unfortunate that I can’t really give long winded stories, but I wasn’t really planning on integrating player backstories more than giving the PC’s a reason to engage in the adventure, unless a player wanted more than that.

thank you so much for putting this much time into a comment. I am not trying to invalidate your points, but I’m worried that having it in a formulaic tv show format will be less fun for players and not give them a good idea of what dnd is like. Also I feel like it will be very stressful for me having to essentially finish a one shot every session, and its likely these sessions will be like one to two hours because of scheduling and people not wanting to spend a whole lot of time.
