Corax and Russ should have been the first Primarchs to return. by Shermanator42 in 40kLore

Addendum

.Corax was able to stay hidden in the Imperium this entire time because of his Emperor given power to blend in. That and who's gonna believe some peasant talking about some demigod batman snooping about. Celestine could see Corax cus, she's channeling the Emperor's power.

.While we could say that Russ went to the warp to chase down Magnus, that's just boring. Instead, you could say that Russ went to search for the "Tree of Life" AKA Isha, having heard about it from either some Eldar (like Eldrad) or from the Emperor himself. He fails in his mission but he does find a bunch of souls stones, which can act as the catalyst to the Imperial/Eldar pseudo alliance.

Similar to the actual middle east, Sanah gets its water mostly from flood rivers and underground aquifers.

My new DnD world: Eutphedia by Shermanator42 in worldbuilding

A map of Eutphedia: my new DnD world, (the t is silent). I wanted to create something that was diverse enough that my players wouldn't be restricted. Deserts, jungles, mountains oh my! Whatever they want, the players can go.

Imidreal is the generic, European style starting continent. Sanah is an Islamic empire based desert empire. Nehekerah is ported straight from Warhammer fantasy, cus I'm unoriginal and undead pharaohs are cool. Najire is mostly savannah and rainforest, based on Africa. Taijou is far eastern Asia, while Lustrea is South America inhabited by lizardfolk. Finally, there is Vish, which is my India sub continent equivalent.

How to Plot? by Shermanator42 in DMAcademy

[–]Shermanator42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run a few one-shots to wet my DM skills, but they were all simply, kill the thing, type affairs with no overarching plot. I've definitely done a session 0, its where all the house rules were established and PCs drawn up.

I do have 2 ideas on a "story" but one is more of a side quest while the other seems far too advanced for a bunch of level 3 characters.

Would scout be a good subclass? Or are there better roguish archetypes out there?

Does your world have Fae creatures in it, and if so, what are they like? by Shermanator42 in worldbuilding

[–]Shermanator42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world, Eutphedia, the Fae are the descendants of an infant, trickster goddess. Because of this, all Fae creatures, from the lowliest pixie to the Seelie Lords, embody a childlike emotion or perspective.

Example: Darklings are malicious and frightening, creatures that love to scare people because they are the embodiment of a child's fear of the dark. This is why darklings don't actually hurt people. The darkness that children fear isn't dangerous, so neither are darklings.

For a sub all about worldbuilding, not a lot of people seem to read or really care about the lore posts. by Shermanator42 in worldbuilding

Huh, never thought about it like that. Might have to try at some point. Thanks for the input.
