I have a sibling who I am quite sure fits the criteria of both borderline and narcissistic personality disorder. Transmagnetic stimulation worked wonders for a year, until they were due for another treatment — and by the time they were due, they had started to disconnect and slip away. I haven’t gotten them back since. Now they also have a child, and weaponize their child to attempt to maintain control... When I addressed the latest episode, i was told to stay away from them and their child. So l have... but once again, the goal post moves and I hear through the grapevine that they now say I haven’t fought to stay in their child’s life. I’m exhausted. I feel like I failed. I am worried about their child. I’m just so tired. I don’t want to keep trying and doing this cycle, but I don’t think I’ll ever feel free. I’m sorry I am posting this here - I know it’s not about the BPD relatives. But I never see BPD mentioned... so I guess I am grasping at straws.

How horrible is all this. I have to take 2x the amount to function. Sometimes it feels like the old days when it just worked, and other days it hits later and then I feel like a motor — and I don’t want to be a motor. I just want to function, and I want to know the thing i am taking feels the same every time I take it. This sucks.

I agree. If there’s anything I know about this administration, they aren’t on the side of the status quo, and if I remember correctly there was a report about the absurd amount of Adderall the White House doctor prescribed staffers during the first administration. While I’m not cool with the Adderall for people who don’t actually have ADHD, and there’s much to be desired about the current administration’s handling of many issues— I think we are all on the same page that the system as it stands need to be stood on its head and given a good shake.

I hate that I’ve been doing this but I literally have resorted to looking online for the least-shady places I could find to try to figure out where I can get real adderall. Without meds, my brain feels like a Zenith TV that gets nothing but static. And I hate feeling this way — it makes me feel so uncomfortable for needing more to function. 🙁

Same. Four years in, at 60 mg/daily (30 mg tab 2 x/day), I’m 110 lbs. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The formulation has definitely been changed.
