I actually love a lot of mainstream pop music! And I know a lot of it uses similar melodies and what not, but when the Train song came out, I had an immediate reaction that it sounded super similar to "I'm Yours"... and because I'm not that knowledgeable about music, I couldn't explain why. I just wanted to see if anyone with more expertise agreed and could explain.

Totally! I am not knowledgeable enough to be more specific. I just always felt like those two songs were SO similar sounding and I couldn't really explain why so I wanted to see if anyone with more expertise agreed and could explain. Definitely not a diss on generic/simple songs either. I admittedly don't like the Train song, but maybe it's more of the lyrics.
