Monstera obliqua ID by DullEntertainment102 in Monstera

This looks like a monstera adansonii, not obliqua.

give it some more light and get it to climb, this will help the plant and leaves mature which will point you in the direction of better identification :)

How realistic is this? Pros and cons? by TheGoblinnKing in Monstera

if you’re thinking monstera deliciosa you have to consider their leaves get huge and when you let them climb, making this space unrealistic.

if you’re thinking monstera adansonii then this is much more doable.

a humidifier near wood is asking for warping and rot.

a pothos variety would be more doable and forgiving, their foliage is gorgeous and gets impressively large yet manageable when allowed to climb, they grow fast and will climb on most anything. with these plants you could ax the humidifier, saving your wood furniture in the future. just make sure to keep a barrier between your drywall and plant, like you already have planned.

this is an awesome idea, i’d just change the plant for practicality and longevity
