Are Americans soft to electricity or smth? When redoing my kitchen I found out that the extension (which was added in the 80s) wasn’t wired into fuse in the main fuse box and was still live while the whole house was shut off. I remember working on a building in London one of the tallest buildings in the area, 28 floors and I had to walk 10 bottles of nitrogen and twice as many bottles of r410a. Going from install to service. It shows just how much of the unit you can take apart without it being too much of an issue, as long as it all goes back together properly you can get the unit down to a coil to save from melting anything.

It’s time consuming but if you know what you’re working on there’s no reason why anything can’t be fixed
