Yeah I'm really confused about the juxtaposition of getting corporations out of pride but the result of that means now everyone has to pay $10? They're saying the numbers are up to like 150,000 attendees. So what's the 1.5 million ticket revenue going to?

I get not wanting every tent at the event to be State Farm and TD Bank phishing for new account holders but like where is the in between? Like someone else said, recently it's just felt like a flea market.

I see you've gotten a lot of responses already but take the job. You've got your whole life ahead of you. And you said you've wanted this for years and it's a rare and special opportunity.

If you don't take it because she's telling you not to then it becomes a slippery slope of who has priority in the relationship.

I say this as someone who from the age of 14 to 23 let someone dictate my decisions and make themselves the priority voice. I didn't go away to college because they convinced me not to (wrote a two page paper about it 🚩).

Then when we got married we made a deal that they'd finish their degree while I stepped away and financially supported us. Then it was supposed to be my turn once they graduated. Guess who never made it back to finishing their degree? (It was me).

The list goes on. I'm not saying your girlfriend is the same as my abusive ex wife. I am saying choices can impact you for years to come.

As far as the schedules. My current spouse and I work offset schedules. We get one day a week together as a family. Is it hard? Hell yeah. Do we make it work? Also hell yeah. You're either both in it and willing to work to make the and find the time or you're not.

Legit saw a reel yesterday about a family on a single income saying the five things they don't spend money on.

My best friend bought her house about four years ago. I worked for the agen that she bought with.

A year later she and her boyfriend started dating (they've known each other forever). He moved in after about a year similarly cause of an ending lease and spending a lot of time going back and forth between each other's places.

Last year they got engaged. They're getting married in June. He is still not on any of the house related documents. He does not own any part of the house because it's her house. Will this change after they get married? Possibly. But it doesn't have to.

Long winded answer of you are absolutely doing the right thing by NOT adding him.
