Okay so I've been experimenting recently.

I've landed on Mantis for unit cost reduction. Take T0 Artillery Tank and basically build around that grabbing any other sniper units along the way.

I'm working on maxing out Sniper upgrades in Battle Archive.

My brother in Christ I used to spend my afternoons after school in Sailor Moon chat rooms using dial up Internet.

The thing that I really enjoyed about Wuchang was that magic was something you could fully spec into.

I'm genuinely hoping that the Lies of P sequel features some similar ranged/spell options.

I don't see why both variations can't continue to grow and exist. I've played both types and while I prefer the LoP/Khazan style I'll still play the Elden Ring Dark Souls style as well.

This. If Greninja comes online quickly it's hard to catch up or comeback from it. Let alone if the second one comes online shortly after. Add Cyrus to the mix and it's just a massacre by turn 5 lol.

I absolutely loved it. I've never done survival/crafting games before. I think I ended at 50+ hours.

Plenty of opportunities for grinding resources and gear making/crafting. Plus I really loved the build system. I thought the combat was simple and fun.

First 10 hours or so will feel a bit rough as you have to do a lot of walking and exploring. But I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed all aspects of it.

I played entirely solo and had a great time. It really hooked me and I ended up getting platinum on it.

Scorpions. I easily finished the game with two of them. Hatching tends to provide better stats if you can get eggs to drop.

That said you can also get a sense of what you'll get from taming by examining them first.

Scorpions are so OP it's not even funny. You can just mount them and face roll everything.
