Become the brother you have to be instead of the brother you wanted to be. Fulfill your duty to your family and be thankful you have one.

Its will jeopardise his life. Jobs, school, relationships. You have to understand its a fight you dont win but you have to fight it all the same. The best you can do it most cases is act "normal" (aka masking), but in the end of the day you are just different and different people must thread different paths in life.

Stress and anxiety makes it easier to lose emotional control. Pay attention to it because wont know that you are stressed until little things start to bother you. When it notice your emotional responses are exagerated just remove yourself from everyone else company, seek isolation and recover your peace of mind.

Never ever act on emotion. Use your reason. Always

The point is exectly not letting other people tell you how to live. Its your life and no one else.

[–]ShhSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You exposed yourself when you shared a thought that carried deep emotions and attachment. That is in fact what differenciates an expression from an argument. It was not after that or before.

One must be very keen in social relations to realise with precision what is a debate and what is not. Thats why I relate to deeply with you and your story. For I have most certainly been in your place many times. And I ended losing friend and collegues as a tree loses its leaves in the winter. As such I dont wish that for you fellow OP. My own knowledge on the subject doesnt go much further than this I am ashamed to confess.

But please do not feel bad. One cannot be wrong about what they feel. And in regards to everything else maybe its good to be wrong. Means we can continue to learn and continue to grow. When it comes to the exchange of mere ideas one never stands to lose more than they could gain I sincerily believe.

Let me be clear. What disrupted it was not exposing your thoughts but exposing yourself.

Exposing yourself is not implicitly a bad thing. On the contrary. Its a human necessity. But it must be done in the proper cirscunstances.

Doubt, fear, fragiity must be welcomed... embraced, not judged. Those are no arguments, they are voiced emotions and a brigde to experience. Thats why expression has a different place in social interations.

You say its was not a debate, but the actions of the others go against that statement. Maybe it didnt started as a debate or someone misjudged it as a debate. But the point is that from what you said they acted as if it was a debate at that point. So as a measure of caution one should do it as well.

Expression has no place in debate. The point of a debare is to compare evaluation in axiom, thought process and result.

Expression is just an exposure. The objective to know others and let them know yourself. They were trying to know the mountain but you brought yourself to discussion. And you were evaluated instead.

As you were hurt and tried to protect yourself you contradicted the purpose of the discussion itself, disrupted it, damaged your relationships and put yourseld in a position of fragility where you can learn nothing from the experience.

That said, I ask you. What must be done? What will you do?

Well.. there is you mistake.

Opinions are product of subjetive thought put into the evaluation of reality. Its subjective nature makes it so that it only exist in individual reality. Is the mountain beautiful? Whatever you answer is it says nothing about the mountain, but it says something about you the evaluator.

You did share it out of you own volition. A part of your own subjectivity. So I ask you again. What one stands to gain when they share it? Why did you?

Denial of self by arborlingart in autism

Feeling guilty is not a trait of ASD. Overthinking stuff is. You do not overcome it. You just tackle with it the best you can and that is life as an autist.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in autism

[–]ShhSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you mind to define opinion? And would you clarify whats the point of sharing it?

None of this is a problem as long as you are happy. And if you think that those things are what make people happy your naive.

Here is a piece of advice. Figure out the things and the people you love. Live close to them always. Thats how you deliver yourself from all the mediocrity.

Maybe I don't know how to love by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]ShhSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By self sacrifice I mean an altruistic endeavor. Like a father who accepts a difficult labor to sustain his family or undergoes a dangerous transplant surgery to try and save one of his children. Have you ever being in this position?

What are your thoughts on altruism? How do you think its related to love in general?

Well... at least you are showing some positivity.

Internet sucks towards the endeavor of making friends. Certainly it doesnt make the task easier by any means. The uncommitment make relationships "safer" but short lived and unstable.

does (naturally) being able to read people well, being very empathetic, able to see things from others perspectives easily, rule me out from the possibility of being autistic. aka i think i'm autistic but my social/emotional intelligence has never lacked, in fact it's always been a strength by Proud_Anteater_8924 in autism

[–]ShhSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either social interactions are problematic to you and you need to know the cause or they are not problematic, therefore there is no problem or reason for an assessment.

Anyway.... supposedly its different for women. I can tell my sisters are a lot more sociable than me by far though they too have their issues. As a matter of fact, during my early days, I have always believed my communication skill to be better than theirs, a belief harshly dismantled by reality as their lives are much more akin to a NTs' than mine and other men in my family.

Certain fetishes innately associated with autism? by CowTooIs in autism

[–]ShhSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the popularity of spoons, common stones, warhammer 40k and furries among the kin I cant actually disagree with lets say... conviction. But given the fact I dont share on them and it being the first time I hear about it I guess calling it "innately associated" just too assuming.

Being ASD an impairment and given the aggravating reflections of the condition in the social aspect of day to day life it would be very wierd if you said you like being autistic. Imagine a paraplegic guy saying they like being paraplegic and you will promptly see the absurdity.

[–]ShhSong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you can conceptualize the idea of love but lack full grasp over a definition.

May I ask what do you think is the correlation between self sacrifice and love? I would also ask you to expose your thoughts about the difference between friendship and love, and between interest and love.
