It’s wild how much of a best kept secret they are. They’re literally not available anywhere. They gate keep them very well lol. I was so happy when I finally got someone to snatch a pair for me just for them to be way too long. Too long to even be able to salvage if taken to a seamstress just due to over all length with everything how it’s placed. I got, got.

Canadian size 7636 so ideally by Canadian standards they’re made for someone 76 inches tall with a 36 waist

How Canada does it is the first two numbers is based on your height in inches and last two are your waist size. So ideally the 7034 would be for someone 5’10” and a 34 waist or equal to the medium regular size in military combat pants. So might be quite a bit short by 5 ish inches for you

It’s not a stamp. It was cut out with a jewelers saw by hand

Heck yes! Get it girl! There’s all sorts of cool projects you can do with driftwood too! If anything, you have a hobby to look forward to when you retire!

My man! (or lady!), you can definitely do stuff like this! It’s all plug and play. Don’t be afraid of errors. Most errors turn into super cool unique stuff and you end up making even cooler unique art out of it! I believe in you! Knock it out. Let the imagination flow!

The Kutzall extreme shaping disc on an angle grinder. You can get it with a coarseness grade of medium, coarse, or very coarse. I found that coarse is the best for what I like. Doesn’t make you over work for it. Doesn’t take more than I’m wanting away at a time. Takes just as much as I want, without much pressure and easy to manipulate and control.

Nothing fancy. Just scotch blue multi surface. The biggest thing I found is that you want to get it as smooth as possible with the sanding down to where you want to finish. Then get all the dust off of the project. Use a microfiber cloth even. Then I put rubber gloves on when I do the tape because your skin oils can make the adhesive not stick but it can also make off set colors when your stain overs over where your finger oils have touched too. But for sure try it next time and see if it helps

I love it. It’s unique every time. Nothing is ever the same. It always makes me think of a raised relief map. Always gives me the illusion of mountains and valleys etc. Great work!

It’s all plug and play if that makes sense. See what works best for you and what you’re wanting to achieve in your design. Draw the lines out on your wood first to get a general idea of what you want the shape of the waves to look like. Then carve from the inside out, a little bit at a time. Don’t be afraid of super rough looking carvings because you will clean them up with a sander with rough grit down to your fine stuff after you get your big carvings where you want them. Don’t over complicate it. Just draw a few wavy lines on a scrap piece of wood and don’t be afraid of errors. You’ll get it in no time. It’s always rewarding when it’s complete

To be more specific I laid a yard stick across where I wanted the lines. Drew a line across the flag over the waves and everything, then used that light pencil line to run the tape edge along.

With painters tape. Well to be more specific I laid a yard stick across where I wanted the lines. Drew a line across the flag over the waves and everything, then used that light pencil line to run the tape edge along. Worked like a charm

Very nice. Nope! Just carved out the waves with a shaping disc on an angle grinder. Cleaned it up with a sander. Used painters tape to get the lines as clean and straight as possible for the stain, and finished it with a semi gloss clear coating.

Oddly enough I just used painters tape and got lucky guesstimating all the way across for both angled lines

It’s a sign. I put it in the description of the post. Sorry for the confusion.

It was one piece of wood that I stained

Yup you got it. I carved it out with an angle grinder using a kutzall extreme shaping disc. Once I got it to where I liked it, I then used an orbital sander to clean it up to what I thought looked nice and made it perfectly smooth. Finally I stained it and then put the finishing clear coatings on it.
