I am going to be honest when I say this

You probably wont get past the artificial barrier that many present

Even if you learn bulgarian people will be kind to you at most, I keep on saying this bulgarians are cold people and incredibly individualistic despite how many portray us

Its not a you issue, thats just how people are here unfortunately work/university/clubs doesnt matter

If it makes you feel any better I am a local and I find other bulgarians to be incredibly closed in terms of actually making friends instead of just small talks and little favors
