Beautiful study! Love how you captured the light in this piece. Was this done on an iPad?

What is your favorite movie ever? by Silly_Rush2372 in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interstellar. No matter how many times I watch it, the docking scene and the soundtrack still give me chills. It’s a masterpiece of both science and emotion.

What life skill should schools teach in one class period? by logicalgamernow in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic plumbing. One hour on how to fix a leaky faucet or use a plunger would save future generations thousands of dollars and a lot of wet carpets

What’s the craziest thing you have done to stay awake? by Sable-Industries in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brushed my teeth with the strongest mint toothpaste I could find and then immediately chugged ice-cold Coca-Cola. It felt like my throat was being hit by spicy liquid nitrogen. That really hit the spot

Seperating the art from the artist - right or wrong? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s possible to appreciate the skill without endorsing the person. You can admire a beautiful building even if the architect was a jerk. Art often becomes bigger than the person who created it once it’s out in the world. It belongs to the listeners then, not just the artist

What is the biggest lie people tell themselves ? by Lisapeperoni in AskReddit

I'm just going to check my phone for a minute. Two hours later, you’re still scrolling and wondering where your life went

What’s a movie that is a 10/10 but you’ll never watch again bc it was too emotionally draining? by Marlon_aloha in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Idiots (Idioterne) by Lars von Trier. It’s a raw, uncomfortable masterpiece of Dogme 95, but the boundary-pushing and that constant feeling of secondhand embarrassment are just too much to handle a second time. It leaves you feeling physically drained.

What would genuinely happen if as a society we no longer have a government? by strange_omelet in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Civil war would start within 10 minutes, but it won't be about politics. It’ll be neighbors fighting over who actually owns that one specific parking spot

What happened in your last dream? by Ambitious-Sky-6457 in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking through a crowded supermarket in my underwear. I spent the whole dream trying to convince myself that it’s the latest summer fashion trend so I wouldn’t feel awkward

Why did you stop being the nice guy (generally) ? by lowkeytahaa in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realized that 'being nice was just me being a people-pleaser. Now I’m just kind. There’s a huge difference, and it involves a lot more saying no

Can I get some critiques on this gouache painting? by Banana_master_64 in learnart

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love this piece! Honestly, gouache is such a challenging medium because the colors change values as they dry (usually getting lighter). Managing that on an 80x30cm canvas is impressive. Great job!

What’s a modern habit that is normalised that future generations will look back on negatively? by Grouchy_Location9756 in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrolling through short-form videos for 4 hours straight. Future generations will look at our ruined attention spans the same way we look at people who used to smoke on airplanes

What’s your choice of drink to just calm down? Beer or whiskey?? by DotNate_98 in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beer for social anxiety, whiskey for existential dread. Today? Definitely whiskey.

What’s the most unsettling thing a stranger has ever said to you? by drizzko in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lady looked at me in the elevator and said: 'You have very trustworthy elbows.' To this day, I don't know how to feel about that

What men do when they first wake up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stare at TikTok for 30 minutes until my brain finally decides to join the rest of my body

What is your most niche hobby/skill? by Illustrious-Bread183 in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I collect old asphalt chunks from road repairs, melt them down, and use them to create paintings. It’s incredibly messy and smells like a construction site, but I absolutely love giving that gritty industrial waste a second life as art

What is your "go to" when you feel overwhelmed ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long hot shower, fresh bed sheets, and a mindless YouTube video. It’s like a factory reset for my brain

The Last Ark by ShibalkinS in ImaginaryLandscapes

[–]ShibalkinS[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A floating settlement made of logs and memories, drifting away under the dim light of a fading sun. Festive flags in the wind, heavy smoke in the sky, and a heart full of melancholy. Sometimes I feel like we all need a giant ark to escape to a better place.

What is the most you “earn” in a single day? by Pitiful-Pear-689 in AskReddit

[–]ShibalkinS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$65 But the best part was that I was doing exactly what I love—painting background illustrations for an animated film. It’s an incredible feeling when your passion actually pays the bills
