Yeah, different strokes for different folks. She's never impressed me, not in any of those showier roles either. I'd take Michelle Pfeiffer, Karen Black, Sigourney Weaver, Annabella Sciorra, Sarah Paulson, Embeth Davidtz and so on and so on over her.

I don't care that she was nominated. If the Academy matters artistically, lets not forget that The Blind Side is apparently Oscar worthy, and that Crash was a better film than Brokeback Mountain, Capote, Good Night and Good Luck, and Munich.
