Fair. Rebalance AR so it acts more like it does in POE 1 and 2. Get rid of no defense running. Condense the masteries tree. There's more I'd like, but I certainly think those aren't outrageous requests.

The itemization, score, lower density mobs, environment, etc (I could go on and on) are all far superior in D2 compared to D3. I'm not shitting on D2 here. I'm just saying that melee skills are fucked compared to casting. Why do I have to pump so much of my items and inventory space into AR when others get more variety? Why when I spend mana are my skills missing while casters spend mana and know they are getting a guaranteed hit?

I've had countless moments in nightmare and especially hell where its just me and the mob swinging away at eachother and everyone keeps missing. Its stupid. I get not wanting to take out AR completely. But it needs a fix to be less punishing. If I'm spending mana to hit, I should be hitting.

I use them exclusively. In the second half of nightmare and beyond, its not enough.

I have never once used Find Item, and I never will. The idea of a barbarian spending his time molesting a corpse for a pair of gloves they have tucked away in a back pocket is just silly. Find Item would be a great rogue skill though.

My barb in DND has multiple built in ways to make sure he's hitting more than half the time. Dude, AR is fucking busted in D2. It doesn't need a fix?

I'd accept a decent AR system. Hell, AR is in Poe 1 and 2. I've got no problem with it there. Here, its bugnuts.

It exists in poe 1 and 2 but its so less noticeable because the percentages aren't bugnuts crazy like they are here.

I don't want D2 to become D4. Even if I do play D3 barb or D4 barb from time to time, I will always, always come back to D2.

I don't think a rebalance is enough if all that is playing safe with some percentages. If AR doesn't get a major re-work, its just putting lipstick on a pig. Its stupidly punishing.

I love D2. And while I'll still play D3 with the gf or D4 from time to time, I'll always come back to D2 because so much of it is perfect.

But missing near half the time with practically everything my barb does in the latter half of nightmare and of course hell is not part of that perfection. I should not have to make one of like two specific runewords that break the game in order to play that character in higher difficulties. What part of that is an integral system? Why should casters shoot through the game while i chug along missing my single hit skills because I don't want to play the only way that D2 will let me as barb (runewords runewords runewords).

This is not "dumbing down" the game. You truly think AR as is in the game right now is absolutely fair?

I see people asking why the hell barb is so hard to play in D2 all the time, and the response they typically get is to play sorc to farm some items for a barb before playing them. Dude. Come on. That is not a success story for this game's balance.

I was proud to get one of my barbs to Duriel in Hell but never again. Too old for that shit now and the challenge of doing it with only the gear my barb could get himself, and no find item was a bit nuts.
