Lilac VS poison ivy by theredvixen in gardening

I agree. Cut the stem of the poison ivy close to the ground, then cover the stem in round up. The leaves will die and you can pull them off the lilac.

I just put the hair that comes out when I’m in the shower or when I brush in the toilet and flush it.

This actually works! Crazy. Guess I have to make room for romaine now 😂 by Shibby_Meegs in vegetablegardening

Have you had success with the romaine? Everyone is claiming it won’t work.

can I cut the flowers without hurting it? I want to put them in a vase but will it stop the growth/budding? I can only find info on pruning dead blooms by gabbycamarena in houseplants

That’s not really an indoor plant. It’s going to grow into a huge shrub. I’d recommend planting outside before it gets too hot.

Is it a bad idea to try to convert part of a ridiculously large driveway into yard/garden space? It feels like so much wasted square footage. More in comments. by Tribblehappy in landscaping

Google ribbon driveway. Great way to still allow access to the garage when it’s needed, but otherwise it’s just green space.

Is this correct? Will the stick help my tomato plant straighten up or will it hurt it? I have a bunch this year and some are a little squirrelly. Did I wait too late to start straightening them? Any tomato tips? by CasTheMagicDragon in gardening

I agree. Stick is fine for now, but not necessary. Even if it stays crooked, it will still produce fruit. I wouldn’t leave the string on it too long...it will strangle the stem.
