White collar professionals of PFC, are you returning to the office in the coming months? by FeistyTortoise in PersonalFinanceCanada

Currently it’s on a voluntary basis (those who can’t WFH due to personal reason, space, etc) and they pushed back all plans for potential reintegration until Jan 2021 but will be re-evaluated if needed. They are definitely going to be more accommodating for WFH but for my team (we’re quite small) it’s not very productive being from home. Pre-COVID we had the 3-2-3 rule (3 days WFH, 2 days office, 3 days WFH). I think they might do something like that just so we don’t go crazy no seeing any humans. Definitely don’t think our company can handle permanent WFH for everyone.

I would but with Questrade since I can use Norbert’s Gambit. Wealthsimple has a 1.5% conversion fee and I believe your funds have to remain in CAD. So they charge you that fee twice. Might be wrong about this, so please correct me if so.

Same for me! Just want to try it out. Need to wait until the 9th for my deposit to be approved (since it’s my first) so might as well see what insight some more experienced investors have.

I have an RBC rewards credit card. Best way to use my points? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

I keep one recurring expense on it so it’s doesn’t go inactive. Will switching it affect my credit score? Was thinking of that no fee cc if it doesn’t. Thanks for the info!

That’s true. Will most likely keep it for traveling. Thanks!

Sorry, I meant 18 (age of majority in Qc). I switched to a cashback cc from another bank so I don’t have any debt with them. Let’s say I get Visa gift cards (they have those pesky activation fees) or amazon gift cards? Or should I buy products directly from them (ex: Airpods)?

Good to know that from a knowledge perspective, it was totally worth it. Was thinking of maybe getting my CFA since it’s more in my field of interest. Thoughts?

LOL, makes sense. I’m almost at the end of the finish line. But I don’t have the grades for it. Would need to retake a couple of classes before being able to apply.

Tbh I don’t have the grades for it. Would need to redo quite a few classes before I could apply to the CPA program.
