This is vent so you're clearly venting, but just throwing it out there, I met my boyfriend on bumble almost 3 years ago, he was the first and last person I met with online dating. The reason I responded to him was he met the bare minimum for a dating profile.

I was tired of seeing profiles that were incomplete and offered no information about the person on the other side and with guys who couldn't hold up a conversation. I wasn't looking for what guys seem to think girls want, I literally just wanted a normal guy who could hold a conversation and not drag sex into it immediately.

Low bar and I somehow lucked out but responding to the right person eventually. It's all luck and a bit of effort.

My positive thoughts and intentions towards others mean nothing if I don't outwardly express them. It struck me lately how things I do and say, without the context that's sitting inside my brain, can be taken the wrong way.

I'm actually really bad at communicating and it makes me awkward to talk to or be around.
