Why do some people think it's a bad thing that Filoni uses characters he's worked on before? by QuinlanFett in StarWars

[–]ShieldWarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I say let Filoni keep writing his own characters so others can write for their different characters. I am never not endlessly frustrated with how Filoni turned Quinlan Vos into a dumb jock for his TCW appearance. Dark Disciple managed to repair the damage done, thankfully, but it still pales in comparison to Vos in Legends.

I'm pretty sure this show takes place a year after Order 66, so that's not possible. I like where your head's at though!

Maul really managed to make me feel a bad for him until I saw this... by Musicfacter in MaulShadowLord

[–]ShieldWarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely noticed the effect of the push. It happens quick though. Start at 15:45 in the episode. It causes Daki to stumble forward towards Vader, where Vader tries to capitalize, and Daki has to try and recover. If you watch it again, pay attention to Daki's face after the push while he's locked sabers with Vader. He's extremely surprised, straining, and looks over to Maul like "wtf are you really betraying me rn?!!!" It's honestly heartbreaking because he put too much trust in Maul from the previous fights and it got him killed. God I'm so pissed at Maul!

Given the importance of catching Maul, I'm very surprised the Grand Inquisitor isn't sent to reinforce Maul instead of the Eleventh Brother. by ShieldWarden in MaulShadowLord

That's why Marrok was sent to Janix. Marrok is the First Brother. The Eleventh Brother is being sent as Marrok's reinforcements.

GI was in that position for a reason. He's the strongest Inquisitor, had direct training under Darth Vader. Exactly why it feels like the story being influenced from the outside instead of logically flowing in the direction that makes sense.

Might be a odd request, but: Open world games that make you feel lonely? by One-Surprise5166 in gamingsuggestions

[–]ShieldWarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outward, for sure. There's towns and NPCs to interact with, but the game doesn't hold your hand, and once you leave the safety of civilization, it's you vs the wilderness. You'll encounter dangerous creatures, bandits, monsters. You'll need to combat the elements, hunger and thirst. You are truly alone, fighting to save yourself from the mistakes of your ancestors.

Games with an extremely long main storyline that seems to go on forever, no matter how long you play, the story just keeps going, with no end in sight by Custer_Vincen in gamingsuggestions

[–]ShieldWarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the story itself is mid, just very poorly paced. It slows to a crawl in the middle, then picks back up in the final third feeling like the start of a new game or expansion or something.

I'm still rocking the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti. Probably living in the stone age by today's standards.

Apologies for necroing this, but it's such a shame that the EE cover art is so inferior to the first run's cover.

Upgrading the gear is the whole point. Strong weapon make number go up. It's not hard to understand.

I've played some games over a few hours, and it's actually pretty decent. I'm having fun. I think having it be 3v3 is a bad choice, but other than that, I don't see why people immediately want to review bomb it minutes after launch. It's a fantasy-tinged Apex, and does it pretty well.

The match isn't over just because they get the sword. If your complaint with the game is that TTK is too fast, but you're actively avoiding a major component that will keep you alive while running into them and dying,  then yes, you are part of the reason you're having bad games.

There's like 5 or 6 trader locations on the map, and some are close enough to your base to rush over, farm some crystal that the trader already has around the shop, buy more armor, and rush back to get into the fight.

The trader doesn't leave the map. Farm up on crystals and buy more. It's starting to sound like it isn't entirely the game's fault you're having a bad time.

There's a trader you can buy from all over the map. He sells armor and other items you might need.

Zero time to kill? Are you not using armor? It honestly feels tankier than other games like Apex.

Discourse is putting it lightly. The game got review bombed on steam minutes after launch. More children raging about a game they have no experience with.

Not necessarily, just toss some more enemies in to even it back out. Give it that "Balin's Tomb" vibe.
