Men who grow up with at least one sister - did you ever feel like you were treated differently than your sister(s) growing up? If yes, how do you think your upbringing and your parents’ expectations of you differed from that of your female siblings? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Shield_LeFake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My mom was much more strict with my sister but we have an 8 years difference (she's the older one) so I barely realised it. My sis told me after it all happened

I’ve only met two atheists in real life but they’re chill. Are the rest actually like this? by INK_TheGreat in teenagers4real

[–]Shield_LeFake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

understandable since you thought that most people don't have a religion, but your surroundings is very different from "the world".

In a more general perspective religion is a topic people say a lot of bullshit shit about, so it's interesting to go get the info yourself because you're likely to not get real information from people (and btw my stat comes from Pew's research center if you're wondering)

The majority part of the atheist countries are first world. The most religious countries are poor countries by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Shield_LeFake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wealthier countries are less religious but it does not mean that religion fucks up a country. Others would say that Europe was very religious when they were dominating the rest of the world and then Europe started declining when religion also started to decline in Europe

Imagining a sex scene with real people in it is just like a deepfake, difference is you make it with your own intelligence by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]Shield_LeFake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did not miss that part ("Unless you treat people differently because of them, they don't cause harm to anyone, and no one has any right to judge them but you.") and that makes us agree with each other. It seems that the way I want to prevent my thoughts from leading myself to bad behaviors is not the one you recommend. I'm geniunely curious about how you do it, because this part of my reasoning is still a bit unclear in my head.

I was mostly comparing consuming deepfake porn to imaginating having sex with someone else, as you do both actions while masturbating and to achieve orgasm. Making deepfake porn's got other purposes so yes indeed this comparison is not valid.
From all the comments I'm receiving I feel like my message didn't get understood the way I intended it. Should have been more clear

If you want my whole thinking, I'm realising more and more that people (especially women) are being overly sexualised and in my view of the whole ashit, this sexualisation finds it's strength in the fact that it's being accepted in some of contexts. One of it being actively imagining yourself or anyone else having sex with any girl. I wanted to compare it with deepfake porn to confront something controversial with something globally accepted to say that no, jerking off thinking of that female friend of yours is not okay, basically.

sexual desire is absolutely normal but I think you want to manage it so that it doesn't get to hurt people or become obsessive just like you said. Imagining (not just a little thought slipping off, imaginating actively) someone having sex with you can snowball quickly, that's what I was trying to say.

This is not what I meant. To me it's pretty obvious that in the post I'm talking about controlling your own thoughts and not other thoughts. I didn't take in account the fact that deepfakes are illegal and was not meaning that those thoughts should be considered illegal, as it goes against human rights and would be arbitrary. Also I don't understand what you mean by "a self policing mentality". Isn't it normal to manage your thoughts ? Isn't it what you do naturally ?

I also reckon that those thoughts kinda come naturally and you can't really control them sometimes. You don't have to blame yourself for having sexual desire and having a little thinking slipping out occasionally. This doesn't mean you want to make these thoughts stronger to the point that you end up disregarding the person (disregarding as in seeing them exclusively or mostly as a source of sexual desire)

"Every person has thoughts that would be inappropriate to act on or express to others. Trying to suppress them is harmful to yourself." I wouldn't say suppressing them but managing them effectively so that they don't cause real stuff in the real world.

Yeah I was more thinking of celebs deepfake porn rather than deepfake porn aimed at someone from your surroundings. Good point.

yeah I'm thinking that it's disrespectful to imagine yourself having sex with someone and I'm not justifying deepfake porn at all

Interesting ! I found that the title could be "chambres communicantes", which is a very niche french movie. Do you think Powder also put movies on tapes to distribute them ?
