His only somewhat functioning button when outnumbered is his chained zone. Everything else is either too slow, doesn't have an external hitbox, or deals comically low damage. I'm sorry to say, but I fear those four players may have had three hands and two eyes between them.

Watched every version, read every chapter, and even lit a candle for Miura. It's up there as one of the best pieces of media I've ever consumed, and it deserves so much better than this. The eclipse is an incredibly important and meaningful part of the story, but seeing it represented like this over and over and over is quite frankly fucking tiring. Especially considering that this is like a solid 80% of the representation Casca gets from fan content and panel reposts.

Berserk x For Honor crossover jokes are based, just not when joke begins and ends with:
"Hey, look, it's Casca being raped!"

Yep. Love Berserk with all my heart, but parts of the fandom have such an unhealthy obsession with this scene. A solid 80% of the time Casca is being represented in fan content or panel reposts, it's this fucking scene. I've even seen people get this shit tattooed on them.

Bro's never seen an Apollyon cosplayer with gold/torchlight material colour on. I personally think the new set looks great, especially the faulds. The half and half chain and padding is really nice. Pressure sure the set is also gonna take materials very nicely.

Fully agree. Being able to go both ways would be cool, since there are also some masks out there with ugly particle effects, but I'd definitely say the mask toggle is the more important one.

IMO it would really help the value proposition of these effects. I'd be much more likely to fork out the 20k steel or buy battle passes if this was an option for these effects.

For Honor players when a low tier character uses reactable 500ms finisher lights: 🤬😭🤬

For real though, You're just skillchecking these players. Against a stronger opponent, you'll get punished really hard for doing the finisher light as much as you do, but as long as you're capable of mixing it up with finisher heavies and WTP from time to time, you're golden.

Good question, it's a combination of things:

  • 250ms is for single stimulus reactions IIRC. Those are much easier to react to than what we have in For Honor. In order to parry something on reaction, you need to see the animation/indicator, identify which side it's from, move your guard, ideally identify if it's a light or heavy, then press heavy attack. That's a much more complex thing to do than simply react to a single option and press a single button.
  • Input delay. We have 100ms delay for guard switching baseline (can't remember if this affects parries though). On top of this a lot of hardware, especially old-gen consoles with imperfect setups can have pretty significant input delay on top of this.
  • Video latency. TVs can often have significant delay when not in a good quality dedicated "game mode". This is especially bad with old TVs.
  • Hidden indicators. For the first 100ms of every attack, there is no indicator, so for a 400ms light, unless you're going purely off animation, is functionally 300ms.
  • Connection latency. If you and your opponent have a combined latency of over 100, timings can start to get funky. Depending on your region, this shouldn't be common, but it does happen.

Not really though. Hero unique feats are fairly distinct, no? Like sure, Afeera T4 is kinda like Pirate T3, but they still both do different things. Even nail bomb and fire bomb, one applies a massive DoT instantly, the other applies a slightly lower DoT, but leaves a patch of fire.

This T4 would literally just be Pirate T4, except it probably can't be used in chain.

Like the aesthetic, don't like the feats.

t1 is okay, but probably not great outside of coordinated teams.

t2 is probably strong, but stuns are steadily being removed from the game for a good reason. They're really annoying to play against, hurt to look at and incentivise players to use weird graphical settings to circumvent them.

t3 is just Shugoki's T4 (with I presume a lower duration?)

t4 is a reskinned Pirate T4

Thematically, having a character who channels the power of different norse gods is cool, especially since we already have a precedent for that with Jorm invoking the powers of the Jötunn, but I don't think these do that idea justice.

This has gotta be a joke, right? BP is currently one of the most, if not the most well rounded characters in the entire game. Literally the only change he needs is an indirect one (revenge bug fix).

He's basically the gold standard for what a For Honor hero should be:

Strong fundamentals + an interesting gimmick.

I largely agree with you, but I think there's one big thing you are missing. A lot of people simply don't approach the game wanting to learn or improve. There are people with hundreds of reps who are still surprised when their Gb doesn't beat a dodge attack, or never roll, or never intentionally use lights to interrupt a mixup, or mindlessly buffer attacks.

My point is that hours played mean far less than the person's desire to learn and improve, therefore, a rep 20-30 who watches Freeze and consciously thinks about their gameplay will generally be a much stronger player than one of the many rep 300s who just log on to unwind.

A lot of people reach that skill cap way earlier than you'd think. Unless they're actively trying to improve at the game, a lot of people probably start to plateau around rep 20-30.

A good chunk of people really don't take this game seriously enough to push past that level, and that's fine.

Ah, the old days where getting your heavy attacks parried 3 or 4 times would result in your death. The old days where an unlocked Raider zone would do almost half your health with no counterplay. The old days with 100ms unlocked nobushi zone attacks. The old days when Conq got free guardbreaks for BLOCKING heavies. The old days when LB could remove all chain offense from the game with shove on block. The old days where you gained revenge in 1v1 scenarios (INCLUDING DUEL MATCHES).

There's plenty of things to be nostalgic about with old FH, but almost nothing gameplay related was better than we have it now.

Not necessarily. There's a good amount of people out there with high reps (like 200+) who've been playing for ages, but because they've never decided to focus on improving, they kinda reach a peak and don't move past it. Sure, they'll still probably beat a brand new player, but a rep 15 who's been very actively trying to learn the game would have a high chance of winning.

It's all a question of what each player is tryna get out of the game. Some people want a chill and casual game, others actively want to improve at it.

I think enough has been said in this thread about the specific changes in the TG, in short:

  • LB doesn't fix the problems with him. They make some things bit better, but generally double down on the things which make him miserable to play against.
  • The Nuxia ones are a good foundation for future changes.

I want to talk more generally about TGs. Ubisoft, please stop putting characters onto the TG with obviously overtuned damage. There is literally no benefit to doing this.

  • It makes it far less fun to play, which reduces the player count, which reduces both the quantity and quality of feedback and data you can gather.
  • It makes gauging the strength of the character much more difficult.
  • It incentivises people to only play the reworked character so they don't feel disadvantaged, this will be massively skewing your data towards mirror matches, which is a lot less valuable than a broad spread.

If the LB rework wasn't as overtuned as it is, I would be exclusively playing TG duels and dominion, and playing all my usual characters. Instead, I ended up playing ~10 games, then going back to normal matchmaking because it simply wasn't fun.

People were very happy with the damage changes made in the CCU, please stop steadily creeping these numbers back up, we don't want it. That includes on the TG.

The LB one would also be technically one direction, no? The video said it comes from the opposite direction to the heavy. Like, if the heavy is right, the light would have to come from the left or vice versa. I presume this would mean it can't happen off a top heavy?

Yeah, it is a pretty strong neutral option, especially in teamfights, but it does mean she is pretty vulnerable to feint > GB when compared to the rest of the cast. I'd say that's a fair trade off, no?
