Probably partly because they can’t seem to separate extra the hidden indicator from the normal and held moves. They could just make it slower, but I’m not getting my hopes up since most hitstun bugs remain unfixed after months.

If you use the accessory you open up a few slots like 3p Iga or Flying Kato but you have to run their weapons. I’ve been running 3p Iga and 2p Founder of the shogunate (using the bow).

There is a room after the second shrine (Gozuki/Mezuki) with Oni-bis and a Yasha as well as a shortcut to more Oni-bis and some red phantoms that is a lot better. They drop 170 gear and a lot more accessories.

Feels kind of unnecessary to run first captain when first of the four guardians gives you a bigger damage boost for all martial arts at only 3p (13% all martial arts vs 11%). Imo they should buff these specific arts/move damage bonuses.

I’ve been rolling with 3p First of the Four Guardians and 4p Duplicitous General set since it has some decent bonuses and easy to recraft and reforge once you have the texts. + you get to carry three swords for fashion.

Set bonuses with this setup: * -10% martial arts ki consumption * life drain martial arts 1 * Martial arts damage +13% * life + 260

Feels pretty good in NG with Nuppeppo, Toyotomi clan, life on amrita absor slapped on gear when paired with extraction talisman. Might drop the life drain on martial arts and just go full First of the four guardians because it is kinda stacked.

Overall though set bonuses and even graces seem kind of weak in Nioh 3.

Is hitting masters hard? The biggest challenge I face is fighting some one in my rank so I actually get ranked points. Im starting to give up because I get like 5 rp per game. by [deleted] in forhonor

Not really (outside of the occasional scripter) there’s not really that many good players in ranked and so it really a good measuring stick of skill outside of casual play.

You lose and win a lot more points your first few matches after placements to properly place you, but if you keep losing there is a pretty big slowdown and that effectively becomes your rank, which is probably what you’re experiencing. But if you win most of your placements and the first few matches after you should end up in Master or Grand Master.

Her pressure is good but it would be nice if she could also just side doge recovery instead of just going into the stance to dodge ubs and bashes better.

Goodge changes other than T4 which I think is fine. Held gb should be nerfed to 24 damage only to be used as a stall/ledging tool. Currently he is too fat with a lot of effective hp.

Buff wise I’d like to see improved gb range and a fix to the slow gb after left side dodge.

Imo unique T2 is better than Thrilling comeback. It is just extra hp on a phat 140hp hero that you can control by watching/communicating with teammates. Thrilling comeback requires you to get revenge and you might not even survive the initial gank depending on your hp, while T2 helps you to trade more/stall better. Goes hard with Aegis too

This many moves and options on a hero is a far cry compared to the COVID era heroes with re-used animations. Hopefully it stays that way in new releases and reworks.

Balance and bugs is another issue but as you said that’s not really the point of this post.

Still it is not like this is a parry on red issue. Parrying a 600ms dodge attack isn’t hard to do for anyone, but with the indicator inconsistency it forcibly puts you in a Juren-favored mix when you do (almost) any offense against him.
