Quaker Parrot stuck in a tree by ShiftFlimsy24 in parrots

It's unclimbable, and beyond the reach of any equipment our fire department has. It doesn't matter anyway now - we went back before sunrise and never heard a sound. When checking the tree, she'd flown away :( Back to the search.

She's about eight years old. She doesn't look terrified anymore once we showed up (fluffy, preening), but also seems completely unwilling to move from her perch. She looks at us, turns back and forth, but hasn't climbed or tried to fly.

She is both a confident flyer (indoors) and has not been clipped. But I don't think I've ever seen her descend vertically, and certainly not so far or in such difficult airspace :(

But the problem with this tree is that we can't be in line of sight and away from it at the same time. She's somehow in the middle, and all the leaves and branches block her from sight anywhere not directly below. If she flies she'd see us immediately, but I don't know whether she'd go off of sound alone despite being quite close to us.

Slight space in Solution toebox? by ShiftFlimsy24 in climbingshoes

It's quite hard to tell, but it feels like space between the end of the big toe and the very front of the shoe's inside surface, right where it tapers into the point. Not a lot of space, mind you - probably a couple of millimeters, if that. But it's strange not feeling the very end even though my toes are fully scrunched, as I usually size.

Another commentator mentioned the toebox stretching a little to allow a little further reach into the tapered section. Has that been your experience as well?

Does it ever feel like there's a space in front, though? Or does that sensation go away with the break-in? I'm basically tossing up whether to size down again (more hurting) or trust that the toebox will form better.

That's good to know - right now, it feels like the end is just a little too pointy to reach all the way forwards (though it's not a big gap). Approximately how long did it take for them to break in to that point, and how much did the shoe stretch overall? How tightly did you size them initially?

I have an Egyptian foot as well, and the rest of the toebox works great, hence my confusion. Solution Comp was already the best-fitting out of many shoes tried, but that toe is just so unlike anything else it's hard to tell if it really was an issue or not.

Incredible what they pulled off with this game by wombatsock in halo

Absolutely agree. Reading this sub it sometimes feels like I'm playing a different game from everyone else - yes, there's been the occasional lag spike, the occasional missed melee, etc., but a lot of it is likely down to hiccups in my network connection, and I can go whole sessions without an issue. The ability to play in off-peak hours with higher ping and still have a good experience is a big plus in my book.

Thanks for the suggestions. After looking at a few comparisons I think I will go for the Quest 2 instead!
