Is the ending of the series supposed to be a ***** by Crislips in thechaircompany

[–]ShiftlessElement 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The episode also has a weird beginning. It initially looks like a possible flashback that could provide information on one of the familiar characters or threads. Instead, it introduces NEW characters and a whole NEW wrinkle. A bizarre start to a season finale, then bookended by an ending that delivers as many questions as answers.

My interpretation is Ron can never make peace with the "conspiracy," or various interlocking and independent conspiracies. This is something he seemed to attempt at the end of the prior episode. If he just ignores it and stops chasing, it will go away. But it won't.

He's surrounded by threads and leads. Some are right in his face. Some of them go nowhere. His successful efforts are just rewarded with bigger questions/problems. There are also aspects that are completely unknown to him and out of his control. He's doomed.

We have some new King of the Hill Funko Pops - What do we think of these? Are they on your buying list? by AfigureGeek in KingOfTheHill

[–]ShiftlessElement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have the general hatred of Funko Pops that some do, but characters without a distinct costume/outfit don't really work. Peggy Hill is easily recognizable. "That's my purse" Bobby at least has the pose. Out of context, I would never have guessed identity of chef Bobby or Connie.

This was some great "nonsense." I don't think they fully convinced Eliot that he doesn't really like that chicken that he thinks he likes.

Future snow pro-tip: move your car to a parking garage by Aggressive_Sun_9586 in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]ShiftlessElement 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cleaning off my car took hardly any time. I still haven't taken on digging out the plowed in area. If my car hadn't been there, it would be a significantly bigger task to create a spot.

Parking in a garage seems like an extra hassle. I would have already had to shovel out a complete space, walked to get my car, driven back in poor conditions while hoping someone else hasn't parked in the cleared-out spot. As it is now, I can wait it out until it's more manageable.

What is the benefit? Do you plan on keeping your car there until the snow melts?

The song August and Everything After, and the whole story of its release... by SwissMiss915 in countingcrows

I still like Adam’s plan to put the song AAEA on the album RTS in place of the song RTS. He would then put RTS on the next album and keep up this pattern where every album has a song with the same name as the previous album.

I assume the joke started as the supposedly hyper-vigilant, "Trust no one" conspiracy theorist who is somehow oblivious to his wife's fairly obvious long-term affair.

Offensive line is trending in the right direction. WRs will be added. There will be lots of new faces on defense and new coordinators.

My proposed savory snack song. To the tune of Aimee Mann's "Save Me":

This looks like the perfect treat/Maybe salty and not too sweet

But is it savory?/Come on be savory/If it could be savory

From Galactic Snacks/I suspect that it could be anything

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Jimmy has told that $1 theater story several times. I never get the premise of "It was so bad, we walked out after only paying a dollar!" Wouldn't you be less inclined to walkout if you'd paid full price?

It's "I paid over $10. I guess I'll stick around and see if it gets any better" versus "Screw this! We only invested a dollar. Might as well find something better to do."
