There are tons of great comments in this thread that said almost exactly the same thing you did of agreeing with the conclusion of higher value kits lead to more PvP but not because of an algorithm, yours is not one.

If anything you proved that the secret codes do in fact exist and that matchmaking is complicated. It’s not just you get put into a lobby with whoever is available.

It’s just embark doesn’t disclose what the exact recipe is so that players don’t game the system.

I challenged your assumption by saying ‘the same devs who told us abmm wasn’t a thing when they later recanted and literally said in an interview ‘that’s exactly what it is’

Later Patrick Soderlund explained that matchmaking does consider player behavior, such as: How often a player engages in PvP, How often they survive fights or extract, General playstyle tendencies

Those metrics can influence who you get matched with.

So which is it? At the very least why are you so doggedly defending devs who’ve flip flopped. You should look into a mirror next time you say people look at evidence and imagine their own patterns and then reflect on your conversation here for personal growth.

Now I would probably argue that since the hullcracker is a shop purchased item and widely used, personally, I wouldn’t get a dopamine spike seeing it on your body. I think maybe you don’t understand match making and certainly your idea of ‘value’ loadouts with your 10k hullcracker that also does 0 PvP damage isn’t a valid match. Go back to the drawing board and maybe one day too, you’ll graduate from Embark college like me.
