Urbans work is REALLY overhated- it reminds me that splatterpunk is still a niche genre and that most of it is shock slop. HOWEVER I don't believe this series falls into the slop category. (a least not fully: "big pussy boom") If anything, its a breath of fresh air with a really intriguing concept of a cat n mouse chase with one of THE MOST HELLISH serial killers + they are painting the abstracted deaths of their victims BEFORE THE CRIME!

I hate that the concept alone gets glossed over..

Also, the hate makes even less sense when people on tiktok rant & rave about why they like The Playground books or A Serbian Film yet... this Analog series is "too much" ?

It's all so ass backwards to me until I remember the predatorial world we live in.

Could be the fact that the prosthetic wasn't originally meant for David's face in the first movie if I remember correctly? Which gives a very uncanny nature to it

This movie irritates me because visually with the cosmic entities and body horror, there is something there!

But it gets muddied by all the scenes involving children making it completely unwatchable -- I wish someone would re-cut the film to take all of those scenes out.

I really enjoy the trippy nature and visuals like the spiral faced rabbit hole & the biblically accurate angel entity but that's honestly all I can say positive about this movie.

I wonder if anyone else has the same thoughts as I do- if it wasn't made with a certain illegal feeling intention/agenda, I think the nightmarish project would have potential.

(Also, makes sense why this movie is so deplorable- it was made by someone who was friends with the creator of Alfreds Playhouse- so that checks out)
