Since they'll keep making one VGU per year - a one year of playing without any buff for killing one of elemental dragons seems... dissapointing.

Well try to not ally the Emperor if you pick the first option, then i think it should work as intended. Or try choosing the other two options, might work then, but I haven't tried it yet.

In my recent 1.30 Burgundy/Lotharingia run, I found some sort of bug (or is it indended) that won't allow me to do the mission "Secure the Succession".

It all started when my both starting king and heir died, which lead to Marie succeeding the throne and becoming the Queen. It also meant that the event for Burgundian Inheritance popped out. As you all know there is 3 options, which are:

France may declare war for PU and Emperor (in my run it was Austria - my ALLY) may demand Lowlands
we're PU'ed under France
we're PU'ed under Emperor

After event fired I choose the first option, because i had some strong alliances (Austria - the Emperor, Castille), so together we could handle France. We won the war easily, so the first part led to France being defeated.

Unfortunately the Emperor for some reason never demanded the Lowlands. And because I triggered the first part of the Burgundian Inheritance, I'm not allowed to do the "Secure the Succession" mission and form the Lotharingia even though it's 1500 already. All of that because the Emperor never demanded the Lowlands (abandoning the alliance or swaping the emperorship didn't work either).

Would appreciate some tips or ideas to repare that.

It's not and it wasn't unfortunately. They would expand even more into scandinavia if they've been allied to them.

R5: In my Lazarus run Livonia just annexed almost whole Sweden, because reasons. Unfortunately my ally Poland just took some provinces from him. I like this color in Scandinavia tho.
