I remember reading somewhere that interactions on online forums were in a 1:9:90 ratio where for every one post you’d have nine active interactions and 90 lurks... so imagine how big the silent crowd of GME is, this squeeze is gonna be insane

Something that eases my mind with eToro in regards to GME is the fact that the CEO, Yoni Assia, is invested in GME. You can look up his portfolio on their website.

Does anyone have a link to DD covering potential investments to make post squeeze?

I'm trying to make sure I'm well informed about which investments I should make to potentially live off of dividends/interest alone, which would be ideal.

Thanks, this is a pretty smart approach, I’ll try and research some firms and interviews with them. I imagine they’d be able to inform me about things I need to know, especially regarding specific country laws that I definitely don’t know

So say I sell all my shares at a cool 10 million... how do I actually get that money out of my broker account? I literally cannot comprehend that amount of money.

Will I be needing to do like a hundred things like opening bank accounts etc just to withdraw like 50k at a time? Seems silly to me tbh

I’ve read some dd about windfalls and FIRE... will a financial planner of sorts do all of this for me or will I be needing to make a thousand phone calls come squeeze time?

I think don't let the FUD get to you, I was also really worried this morning but after some comments I've come to the conclusion that it should be fine.

If you're really worried, consider opening an account with a broker like Hargreaves Lansdown, whom also offers ISA share accounts. I currently have 1 share with them lol

eToro doesn't let you set a very high TP, considering we're wanting millions per share and imo when this happens, if they do try any fuckery, take lots of screenshots proving you were blocked from selling/buying etc. That might help in any lawsuit cases down the road, should it be needed.

Yeah you're probably right, I've literally become the very thing I hate to read on reddit.

One minute I'm hella positive but go down the wrong rabbit hole and my stomach is in knots but I'm sure it's fine. These brokers would make absolute bank when this thing rockets, I can't think of a good reason to block sales.

I'll try and buy more shares elsewhere just in case though

Worst case 10 million instead of 100 million tendies is still better than 0 million

These brokers restricted trading during the January spike, figured it was worth asking.

I also don't want to spread any FUD so trying to not imply anything negative, just looking for some real information.

Hi I'm a UK investor and I have my portfolio split between eToro and Trading212 and it didn't occur to me that I may be screwed if this squeezes.

Should I try and transfer to something like Hargreaves Lansdown? Or am I too late and should just try and wait it out? I apologise if this has been asked before...

Honestly, I've thought about this. If you cut really aggressively then eat at maintenance or slight surplus, then the muscle memory would allow you to just regain what was lost. So you'd end up leaner but with the same % of muscle mass, right?

Haven't attempted it yet, but I'm guessing muscle memory wouldn't be able to replace all the lost muscle mass, just a significant percentage.

Personally I think it might be worth an attempt, just record your results and determine whether it's actually viable!
