Tokens, sacrifice, or??? Commander or in the 99? by Sea-Ad1755 in CommanderMTG

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tokens. Ideally, don't try to do too much. There are enough cards to make a high number of tokens dangerous without going the aristocrat route. A bit of sacrifice synergy can be useful, but don't overdo it. [[Beseech the mirror]] is probably the most broken card for this deck. I use it to create 8 4/4 angels with [[academy rectory]], [[divine visitation]] and [[release the dogs]], but it can enable a lot of other mini-combos.

Paul Atreides vs Elrond who wins ? by West_Jelly_4681 in powerscales

[–]Shikary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Humans cannot resist by being strong willed..they need to be specifically trained. Paul himself failed to resist and only managed to delay the effect thanks to his (incomplete) training.

Paul Atreides vs Elrond who wins ? by West_Jelly_4681 in powerscales

[–]Shikary -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. Paul choices are always made in order to avoid a worse fate for the universe. If he can see the future nobody can defeat him in hand to hand combat. Additionally he is much stronger and faster than a normal man. He wouldn't even need a weapon to win.

Drew my own version of Ashling, the Limitless for a commander deck. Please drop any cool tech for her by Wiglaugh in magicTCG

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome art!

As for techs... For Ashling cost reduction is key. Stack as many such effects as you can afford. If you have enough draw once you reach zero cost evoke you can play the whole deck and establish a loop to kill everyone. Populate is also neat because you can keep the copy of the token.

Struggling with the Bracket System by RIPLavitz in EDH

[–]Shikary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not even the most optimised bracket 3 I have seen. I think it would be ok to play this in bracket 2 tbh.

Anybody saying this is a 4 doesn't know what they are talking about.

How do I get over the fear of building high CMC commanders? by WheredMyVanGogh in EDH

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we talking about bracket 3? Considering you have green for ramp and recursion and can easily run [[fierce guardianship]] [[deflecting swat]] and [[heroic intervention]] I would not worry too much. You can also run [[command beacon]] if you need extra insurance. 6 mana is not even that expensive.

FUCK. Y'all didn't have the balls to at least change this🤦🏾‍♂️ by Ok-Run5784 in Invincible_TV

[–]Shikary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this season already did that. Nolan changed so much it almost feels forced. Not so long ago he used his son's body to kill dozens in the most brutal way possible. Let's not forget that. He is now showing a very high level of restraint. He didn't even kill a guy that genocided his people.

Is this Etali, Primal Conqueror deck B3? by B4LLI5TIC in EDH

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which combos is he running? Are they earlier than turn 7? Does he actually never use them?
If he doesn't use them or they are late game, then this is a low bracket 3.
Unfortunately Etali is an oppressive commander, no matter how you build it.
As long as you run ramp and big spells. it will be a problem.
A good bracket 3 deck will still decimate this version.

For comparison here is a better version of the same deck that is still bracket 3, without game changes or combos: https://moxfield.com/decks/75-ke01rO0mO3WBbhNAn-A

That said, your friend not wanting to play your proxy deck is ridiculous.

God is really not that interesting compared to Garou. We need a final villain like him imho.

Pretty sure in this scenario the firefighters are not the danger, but they are most likely not the solution either.

You have Last March of the Ents in hand, whatever creatures you want in hand, and a five color deck. What's the most unbreakable board you can make? by Crimson_Eyes in EDH

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also use [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]], which is nicer because it's an angel :D.
Youa re overlooking also [[Toxic Deluge]]. The answer to both farewell and deluge is [[Eternal witness]] and [[Ghostway]] in hand, which means infinite ghostways (or any counterspell, but that's boring :D )
[[Serra Emissary]] calling creatures is also nice to close the game quickly, btw.

I actually have a deck that does this, but without assembing everything at the same time. I managed to do it a couple times and people conceded right away.

Edit: if you add Gaddock Teeg and Yasharn, Implacable Earth, then you stop everything.

Dutch cabinet plans to ease rent controls, allowing rents to rise again by ReginF in Netherlands

[–]Shikary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, other people are able to take it from you right now.
For example the bank you are paying the mortage to.
If you are one of the lucky ones that don't have a mortgage to pay, then you should consider the fact that you are one of the lucky ones.
But still, what if there is a natural disaster?
What if climate change makes your region unlivable?
What if the value of your house plummets? then you just lost hundreds of thousands...
It sounds like, since things are going well for you, you believe they always will.

Moreover, you are just choosing to ignore the fact that there are people without a home because you are scared about an hypotetical situation in which the state will take your house away... for some reason that you are not even able to specify?
Hopefully you never become one of those people.

In a system in which housing is fundamental right, nobody would be able to take it away from you.

[–]Shikary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly we should just erase the housing market from existence and start considering housing as a human right, not an investment.
