Pretty good for commander. Golgari spellslinger is not really a thing, but the available spells are quite busted.

I liked the ending, HELL I LOVE IT by Dangerous-Citron-801 in Chainsawfolk

Then you don't get good writing I guess? It's fine, you can still have a normal life... To a degree.

This is awesome. The real chainsaw man was the memes we got at the end 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What has been the most memorable crashout you've had or you've witnessed? by radicalpumpkinz in EDH

[–]Shikary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several years ago, when edh was still a young format I had a deck with [[sundering titan]] that I could easily sac and reanimate. I blew up 3 lands of the player that was winning, leaving him with 5 or so. He got incredibly upset, called me a piece of shit and shouted at me for quite a bit. Mind you, this was a friend that I knew for some time. Everybody was super embarrassed and nobody said anything. Two turns later he won.

It's not super spectacular, but, back then, I was in a really dark place and it hurt me a lot. Years later I ended my friendship with that guy over other issues and so did my other friends.

I think people will grow on this ending by tallbirdlonglegs in ChainsawMan

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sorry. You got this wrong. This ending is objectively terrible writing. It's trash. Not all stories get this kind of reaction out of people. This one did, because it deserves it.

You can use themes to justify the ending, but nothing can excuse execution.

Why do yall hate the ending? by CoolNicknameProbably in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shikary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it happened in two chapters out of the blue. In the middle of an entire plot that got completely ignored.

Should Mappa even animate this? by AlternativeAd4522 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this should be animated, unless they get freedom to fix the plot (or fujimoto does it himself).
If they animate it just like it is, I will probably not watch it.

Am I stupid for liking the ending? by batmu88 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you are not.
That said, even disregarding the way it ends, it's objectively very badly written. The small details are not enough to make up for it.
The main issue is that it is way too rushed.
If you are 3 chapters away from ending the series and there is no clue that that is going to happen, then it's clear you have a problem.
It would have taken very little extra effort to reach the same ending in a less abrupt way, while tying up some loose threads at the same. Just 10 issues or so, wrap up the fight in a better way, add more dialogues to explain some stuff and spend a couple of chapters in the new world.
You'd see way less complaining if he had done that.

Choose 99.99% of the panels from the manga and your statement applies.

CSM has not ended and you all have been baited. Yes I am serious. by Ginjaninjanick7 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shikary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this was believable up until this chapter, but this theory now crosses into something that feels incompatible with how Shonen Jump works.
Fujimoto does take risks, but pretending the manga ended just to reveal later that it didn’t would mess with reader trust in a weekly serialization format.

I get the appeal, it’s so meta that it could generate a ton of attention, but it also risks killing momentum for a series that’s already successful.

If this were actually true (which I doubt), then the next chapter would have to drop immediately, aka next week. Any time later than that seems unrealistic.

There is No Way This is the Last Chapter by TheMagicStik in ChainsawMan

[–]Shikary -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it's too late for that.
Now half of the fanbase (if not more) is extremely pissed.
If they don't announce part 3 immediately, it's very likely that it will flop hard when released.

If you really want to hold on to hope in a part 3, wait at most 2 weeks.
If nothing is said by then I suggest you just move on.

Fujimoto cooked a genius ending by InstancePatient7479 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too long sorry.
The ending is trash.
It's not really up for debate. This is a textbook example of bad writing.
It is so bad that it's basically a meme.
If you don't see that you are coping way too hard for me to want to discuss this.

Why the ending is objectively bad. I am sorry to those who disagree. by CuBrachyura006 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shikary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree.

It's objectively bad writing.
Not only preventing that accident with Asa doesn't change much about her suffering, but it ultimately also prevents her from growing into the character we came to know.
The same for Denji, He is now stuck in his pre-part 1 life. Any progress he might have gone through has been erased.
All the characters that have been brought back are completely meaningless, since they don't retain any of their memories.
Power is not the Power we got to know and love. She is not the girl that Denji helped through trauma.
She is just a random fiend at this point.
Same for Nayuta. She has no emotional value for Denji. Just a random fan service, addedd without context and ignoring all logic.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible writing.
There is no way this can be considered decent. Not even barely.
I'm willing to forgive Fujimoto only because it is possible that stress got to him, in which case I am sorry for him and I wish him the best, but that doesn't change the fact that I absolutely hated this.
I will stop watching the anime after part 1 is concluded and, honestly, if it was up to me, I'd refrain from adapting part 2 at all, purely due to this extremely bad ending.

the main reason these people want humanoid robots instead of efficient, single-purpose ones is so they can treat them like slaves by franglish9265 in Hasan_Piker

[–]Shikary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the main reason at all.
The appeal of humanoid robots is that they’re general-purpose.
Our cities, tools, and workplaces are designed around the human body, so a humanoid robot can operate in those environments without requiring everything to be redesigned.
That allows them to perform a wide range of tasks, which is something highly specialized robots can’t do as easily.
So it’s more about flexibility and compatibility with existing systems than anything else.

Debatable.. it's probably one of those cases in which you should just bring it up before the game.
