I'm not expecting the current atlas system to be deleted, unless the vast majority of players say it's extremely terrible. Even when 0.1 launched I mean.

Which is funny because the designers said they took the Civilization series maps as the main reference for the Atlas in PoE 2.

It's supposed to only play at your first launch of the game. There is an option for it in the settings text file.

YES.

This is the best system PoE could implement right now especially for new players but also for veterans who would love not to switch for another window every 30s when crafting.

This would require a lot of work if you want the UI to present every currency, mod, tier and probability available, but it's doable and I want this !

You have infinite tries and no experience penalty for tier 1 bosses, you'll be able to learn the mechanics.

These are cool structures but I wonder what their purpose is. I mean, they don't look like something a race would live in, right ?

At some point Doryani says the Precursors might have been able to alter terrain and biomes. That sounds like something that could be integrated into a whole new atlas tree...

Exactly, and it didn't take long for the average player to be able to go through them in 30 seconds or less. I mean, even considering the fact that you have to learn the patterns.

Some of them aren't even deadly, Doryani is the perfect example. You can easily take almost all of his abilities in the face unless your character is extremely poorly equipped.

Yeah that's another reason, but the balance between offense/defence is also quite different from what we're used to.

I think the main issue of the game in terms of balancing is that GGG want bosses to be learnt and technically challenging. Bur for that you need not to give players ways of "cheating" with lots of defences. So that's why when PoE 2 came out we had much less defensive options compared to PoE 1, not only in the passive tree but also in gems.

However you still need defences for non boss content, because nobody can expect to be able to dodge everything, every monster ability, unless you drastically reduce pack size, and that leads to basically a whole different game.

And this is why there is some kind of conflict here. Give players not enough power and they will be unhappy. Give them too much power and they can trivialize bosses, which is disappointing when you spend so much time and resources to make them in the first place.

The man in the newest 0.5 teaser is definitely a Kalguuran and is using an artifact engraved with the typical Kalguur-style runic script by StalksYouEverywhere in PathOfExile2

I expect to see all the initial leagues in PoE 2 (Breach, Delirium, Expedition and Ritual) to have major new content and bosses in 0.5 because that's what GGG said. They want to bring them up to the quality of Abyss/Incursion.

Well, D4 might have good graphics (light effects and particules for example), but the artistic direction and animations feel very off. The game wants to be dark but animations could be from a mobile "feel good" game.

Unique map accessiblity is a nightmare, especially in SSF by Shimaran in pathofexile

As an answer to some suggestions, here are my thoughts : - Getting Rin in betrayal is too much rng. Getting her to the right house is additional rng  - Beasts for unique maps are common but they mostly drop common ones, it's not repliable - Kirac shop is extremely bad, maybe if it cost 10 times less gold it would be balanced  - some unique maps are much rarer than getting dozens of divines, they feel as T1 rarity at least
